I am very much indebted to all Sajhapurians who made the thread I initiated to be ranked top 3 longest thread. We attained that position in just 10days. Probably the fastest thread that attracted so many peoples and so many threads. I am grateful to all the contributers, including Oohi!Ashu, who might have read the thread, but, never liked it because he did not like to put his signature. That was my great disappointments. Whatever we enjoyed illustrator's illustrations on Ashu, and even Ashu 's presence in Sajha.com should be considered a reason behind the success of thread. ........
With the great smashing hit of the thread on "Illustration: illustrator", I would like to initiae a new thread on "My or his/her recent GiveUps". Would you kindly post your recent give ups. It can help fellow Sajhapurian what should be given up and why should it be given up.
I think it is not bad idea, if you have friend or enemy who gave up some thing that is worth noting her for fun or for serious for others help or for warning or for any other purpose: good or bad. Lets see how far we can list. I suggest fellow Sajhapurian to give their peer review notes on others GiveUps whether its good or bad or worst or best give ups.

My most important recent give up is Avoiding the Possibility of TOUCHING Any/all Women (except that one special woman) any where in her body. I feel like I am treating her "TALLO JAAT" or in opposite: I am indirectly implying that "Hey, I am untouchable Jaat ko Manche, don't touch me. I don't want to be in trouble. Have you ever seen the Mc. Douglas ko movie UNDISCLOSURE, how he was trapped.". I became more careful with this scenario when a guy in the same rank le "angalo mardechha (sale haram le) ek kanya lai" and got it published in local newspaper as a sexual harassement, and our big boss got a call for TV interview in early morning confirming whether its true ?
I can realize the life of our Untouchable Janajati, how they feel, how hard is when you have to avoid absolutely: any kind of TOUCH. Terriblly stressed. To be pure, you need a big sacrifice. Do you have such give ups? After reading the long thread on Dipak Gyawali, I am much worried that "I should have another give up, if I am dreaming to be a public figure in Nepal". Lets talk one by one.

Okay.. let me shamelessly get away from the fantasies.
Giving up for me has always been with a selfish motive - that possibility of getting something better. Some classic examples including "giving up" some high school crushes, just because of (I hoped) her jhan khatara looking friend. Sounds kinda silly now, but that was how the game was played in those days without the convenience of Internet or chat-rooms.
Does giving up something necessarily translate to defeat, or surrender? Sometimes it is the GIVING that makes a bolder statement when I know deep within that I was giving up. I gave my baraf khane dui rupiya to my class dada, but I was giving up any resistance to his bullying tactics.
Most recently I have surrendered to my parents wishes of aba ta serious bhayera keti khojnu parchha... baru haami nai khojidinchhau, tyata date sate tira dherai nalag.. bekkar ma yata tira naramro halla hunchha.. tole chhimek.. samaaj ma.. . I am giving up on all those things that I had dreamt of when I was already "giving up girls.. " just out of hope of that someone from my more realistic fanatasies.

Yo "mula" Biruwa ra Batauli le kya naramro sanga you thread lai flop gari diyo. Yo thread yati sajilai sanga Black Hole ma jane wala chhaina. I don't want to give up this thread, at least for this week.
Today's my "not giving up" is not letting this thread sunk in black hole at Sajha.com
Everyday is new day. Everyday I get new issues, topics and events, and I have to give up some BAKOUTA and difficult dreams or habits. I will list my today's give up ASAP. Keep on tuning.

I am a Nepali....I give up:
- Peace, because I really never earned it
- Democracy, because I only know how to '"Baleko Aago Matrai Tapne' (opportunist)
- Acknowledgement, because I never know how to appreciate others
- Exposure, then I have to travel beyond Kathamndu
- I know something good about you, because I really don't care about you
- Least we can do, because I just know how to talk don't know how to act
- Malai Nasodha Kahan Dukcha, Surya Asta Nepal Masta, dukhne kura chod deu

1. Pulling leg -- My favourite sports
2. kaating kura, back biting -- Oh! That gives me an eternal pleasure.
3. Disrespecting others (especially Ladies!) -- saanai dekhi laagya baani, kahile najani.
4. Jealousy -- It runs in my gene. Chimeki ko choro America gayo, My mother was worried... "Mero choro lai ni America pathaunu paryo, Mero izzat jaana laagyo, Arka ko choro kaha kaha pugi sakyo, afno choro ajhai paani tyanki kholdai cha"
5. Saving Izzat -- "Khaane main saag-paat, hagne main nawaab", Saam daam danda bhed lagayera tyo fatya izzat silaunai parya cha...

Biggest thing Nepalis should give up is:
That non-sense trend of "STRIKE ON Academic Institutions, shops, ...". should be given up by all political parties.
I have given up supporting all Kinds of strikes.

anyways hahoogurujyu..i have given up booze for the sake of my studies..maile ta kriya khako chu...dherai party, dherai booze, dherai G bho....i gave up all of them because my studies were going down....

Dui jana Pakha rekha ka manche went to KTM. They were walking the KTM streets, bhanu bhakto ko kantipuri nagari ma ke. They saw a Momo restaurant, and when they peeped through, saw roti ko dallo parya jasto. euta le bhanechha, la jau tyo dhido ko dallo jasto nai khau. Other one agreed and entered they ordered two plates of "DHIDO DALLO JASTO DINUS NA HAMLAI" bhanchan. The the waiter served it.
They started eating it. When on of them by mistake "tyo cover gareko roti chytera herchha" and found "meat ball inside it"... then, he told to his friend "yaar, her her yo bhitra ta masu rahechha".... The other one replied "thulo swor ma nabol. khuru khuru kha. Yasko bhitra ke chha bhanera herne kaam GIVE UP garde. Tyo pasale le yo bhitra ko masu hamle khao pattai napaos ke. Natra ta tysale yo masu paisa beglai magla. Yo dhedo ko ma tra paisa tirera yaha bata bhagi halam. Baru chhito gar.".
well, there used to be similar joke on Samosa ma alu kasari pasyo.
