Forwarded from email: Positions available: tutor, research assistant, housekeeper We are looking for a housekeeper, research assistant and tutor to come and share our beautiful home in the Bahamas -- three acres of natural land with palm trees and turquoise Caribbean water. I am an English Professor of Philosophy in Florida and commute. My daughter is from Nepal of a Tibetan family. She is a high school student, poor in English, but speaking Tibetan, Nepali and Hindi and learning English. We are trying to find one or two students who would like part time work as tutor to my daughter, research assistant to me, and housekeeper in exchange for a small private apartment on the beach, meals and local gym membership and small stipend. You are a speaker of Nepali, Hindi, or Tibetan as well as speaking perfect English. Ideal age: 18 to 27. This is a perfect part time job for a writer. It would suit a liberation theologian or feminist theorist. Short term appointments: 1 month, 3 months, or negotiable. Permanent position may be available. Travel once each year to Europe may also be included. Contact: Angela Williams at angelalw73@yahoo.com

They want tutor, research assistant, and housekeeper and all that just for part time. Sounds silly to me. Heck, that's a full time job. And I know the perfect liberation theologian or feminist theorist who can take the job! -SITARA.

If it were near a university (e.g., in Florida), some students would have been interested in it for a free room and board. Still, it sounds like a aweful lot of work (Tutor, RA, and a maid) for just room and board and a small stipend. It may be attractive for someone who may be looking for a summer vacation trip to the Bahamas.

San, did you check this out? The syntax has a few oddities for someone who is supposedly a native speaker, the email isn't at a university (strange for a "professor"), and no Angela Williams comes up on the Web in connection with a Florida university. Plus, it just sounds too good to be true. Could be legit, but I'd advise anyone who is interested, or who wants to send this on to friends, to be cautious.

Biruwa ji Thank you for your referral...! How about you? A little bit of the Bahamas sun and a good dose of miracle grow might do the trick and transform you into a "liberation theologician and/or a feminist theorist"! :)
