Princess Diana or Mother Teresa? Who between them would be the ideal woman for you? Is it beauty, wealth and service to mankind or simplicity and service to mankind? For me, my ideal is Princess Diana. She combined all the facets of life that today’s woman aspires to- beauty, style, life on the upswing, a caring compassionate personality, showing courage under adversity and being a good mother but this doesn’t, in anyway meant to diminish the role of mother Teresa. Sincerely hoping your opinions..

First of all, I am a man, but I can write my opinions about these great ladies ( may their soul rest in peace). To me, Diana looks very small when weigh against Mother Teresa. I was never fascinated by Diana’s looks and styles despite the fact that she had some other facets of life- a compassionate personality, prettiness, and contributions for charities. Diana gave lots of other people's money to high-profile charities, and swan around minefields looking glamorous. I could do that. You could do that. Mother Teresa altruistically DEVOTED her life in social work, living in Calcutta. This…I could NOT do. Not everybody could do that kind of sacrifice. The princess Diana couldn’t do that all. I thought Princess Diana was over-hyped by several medias because of her physical charm and some works for poor people. If Diana was wrinkly and hideous with tea towels on her head, I bet she wouldn’t be admired so much.

Both>>>They teach us doesn't matter who, what, where or how u are...all that matters in the end is the heart that feels and understands a human touch & an essence of life.

OMG!! Rustyji, U made me drop down from cloud 9 :(. Salma? Where did u get that idea from? :( :( It's Gurl_Interrupted!! :( Can't there be a pragmatic ground? What if I chose best of both? Coz I admire & respect both of them. H/e still if I had to chose just one of them, I would chose Mother Teresa. But I would still go for some of Diana's characterstics, for example: "Smile like everything in ur world is purrfect...dance like nobody's watching & there's no tomorrow...& live and love like u've never been hurt." So that still keeps me on a middle ground :).

Princess Diana was a pretty lady and ofcourse if I am to compare glamour between mother Teresa and Diana, Diana is undeniably more attactrive than mother Teresa physically ( at least than the old mother Teresa we know). But to me Diana was just a rich lady who did some charity work. There is no comparison between Diana and mother Teresa. I have tremendous respect towards mother Teresa. I can care less about Diana. It is just the western culture to glorify the one who preaches more and does less. Himalaya

Bal Matlab tara, We know that Mother Teresa did a lot for the mankind and its wellbeing. She devoted her life for it. But Diana was into some social work too,,, but think about Diana--many scandals she had. No comparision to Mother Teresa... But i liked Diana--not to deny she was glamorous.

Elton John Wows Mother Teresa Funeral Crowd With 'The Bitch Is Back' ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CALCUTTA—More than 12,000 mourners were treated to a performance of "The Bitch Is Back" by Elton John at Mother Teresa's funeral Saturday. The delighted mourners, clapping their hands and swaying from side-to-side in time with the song's pounding, rollicking barrelhouse piano, joined John in singing the song's refrain, "Bitch, bitch / The bitch is back," dozens of times. "This is the perfect tribute to Mother Teresa," said Sister Nirmala, Mother Teresa's successor as leader of the Missionaries of Charity Order. "The bitch is indeed back with God." John, who sat next to Princess Diana at Gianni Versace's funeral and sat next to Mother Teresa at Princess Diana's funeral, was seated next to former Beatle George Harrison at Mother Teresa's funeral, fueling speculation that Harrison will perish next Tuesday in a fiery helicopter crash.

Kalanidhi, You have tainted tendency to "leave the matches out and go off in a huff." Do you have any idea what you write about? I find bunch of 'gibberish' in your writings. Do you ever follow up with any of your postings? BTW, you forgot to tag UCB along with your name. Rust:)

Agree with bal Matlab (sounds like MatLab software) and Himalaya. Princess Di was attractive, may be not astoundingly beautiful in conventional sense as Rusty felt. she was pretty but she wasn't the 'Greatest.' People bestow sympathy to her coz she was grinded in between the royal mortars. She wasn't well accepted by the classy royals, so she earned the sympathy factor. She did a great job creating the awareness for landmine victims and thus is identified as humanatarian, but I think that all she did. That was one of the things she did on her always- leasure time, besides hanging out with Dodi and other hunks in bars(could be because of depression? Retaliation?) I really don't know a good detail about Mother Teresa, thus I would just accept of holy image. The symbolism of kindness and good-ethics, Mother Teresa should be respected in a different level than the commoners like us or even Diana, who is no more different than Diana Ross.
