Bal Matlab The CIAA movement, What do u guys think about it. Is it doinig the right thing??? Or is it biased towards some party or something political leader. It is doing some good jobs right now, to fight against the corruption in Nepal. If this had come about a long time back, how good it would have been.....But will this remain for a long time or just disappear after sometime.

I was thinking the same thing. Its googd that the corrupt are getting striped, but I am not sure about who's being targeted and who's being spared. One thing for sure if ghusiyas of Nepal are getting scared. A relative of mine who a police guy is shitting in his pants right now. He is deemed to retire soon, and thinks that he will be hounded by his collegues as soon as he retires! You see what I dont understand is , why after retirement? Why not get them while they are still in power? I dont know if they go in a hiearchial order, from top most currupt and down the ladder, or just pick people randomely. Whatever happened to the Girija/ Sujata Probe. So far it seems like people from Kangress, Komunist and Panchay haru are under investigation. ki kaso?

I am all for what they are doing and I hope that they continue to hound all the culprits until justice is served and fear penetrates the heart of all civil servants, politicians police..etc.....However, having a penchant for conspiricy theories....I am wondering about the timing of the actions of the CIAA.......why now and not before?????who is giving it the back support to carry out the tasks???...why are only congress people targeted???were are they the only corupt people in Nepal...What about the commies...panches etc.....will they ever be targeted???? Will the corruption that transpired before 1990 be investigated???????? My guess is CIAA back support is the palace which is using the CIAA as a means to keep the congressis in line...A lot of the congress people who have been in power are (most likely) corrupt and with that in mind the strategy of the palce being an The ultimatum ...keep quiet or else you too will be investigated and your misdeeds revealed, like khadka, wagle etcc.....If one remembers back the CIAA started really flexing its muscles a few months before Oct 4th.....grand design?????? who knows....Why target congress only???...well, probably because they are the largest single party in nepal and although their image is tarnished now, if they get their act together they can seriously challenge the monarchy......As the leader of his party and of the nation too for the majority of the last 12 years, GP koirala has to accept the blame, partly for the state of Nepal ( in fact a lot of the blame)...but I never doubted his integrity....never thought he was corrupt personnally.....what his daughter and some of his chamchas did is something he should have controlled but he himself was never on the take ( my humble opinion)..the old man doesn't even own his own house in KTM for godsake .....today he is the only "democratic" force standing between the complete subordination of the sovergnity of the people by the palace.....he is the embodiment of the challenge to the Kathmandu elite power structure from the outside.........One question...when he was PM there was such a scandal about the lauda deal but when he resigned it just disappeared....WHY??????? Back to the topic.....I support the actions of the CIAA but am sceptical of the motives and would like to see it expanded to cover the panches and commies tooo...as well as the events before 1990 to be convinced that it is nothing more than just a means of coersion used by the palace to bring into line anyone who can challenge their power.... My humble opinion.....
