Tropical you mentioned about a guy who was in financial trouble and later ended up in jail.So are you talking about a guy who ended up in jail in Nebraska?I forgot his name but i heard that he tried to loot a bank and later ended up in jail.So,if it's the same guy ,then can you tell us what hapened to him?Is he still in the jail?What is he doing?And isn't there any way to get him out of the jail?Can we neplease communitiy help to rescue him?
Are there any other neplease who have ended up in jail? And can't we do anything to help them?

happy keti, do you think it's a wise idea to try to get them out of jail if they have really committed the crime? would you try to get them out if they were in nepal and done the crime? if they really have robbed the bank then why should a nepali community go help them? i do not think the community is responsibe for rescuing them?
however, if they were wrongly accused of robbing a bank and were put in jail without the due process, that would be a different matter. but from your posting, that does not seem to be the case. so if you commit the crime, you do the time. lot of us are in financial trouble, but that is no reason for robbing a bank.

1. That individual may not want to make those fine details made available to you.
2. Rescue him? I think s/he needs to know that s/he has not been forgotten. S/he is someone's son, daughter, dai, bhai, didi, bahini... and as a community, we can show our acceptance and support for her/him as one of us, WITHOUT interfering in the legal process.
3. First, we can do something by not getting too excited over the matter/s. HELP is a very powerful yet delicate word.

If he had really committed crime,then ofcourse he should be punished.Crime is a crime no matter how big or small is.
But ,
I just want to know whether he really committed that crime or not and if you guys know about him,thenI'm just requesting you guys to keep us updated about him.Since we are not that big community in US,I just want to know what happened to him.Whether he is still in jail or not?And how long would he going to be in jail?
Batualiji, what does that ukhan mean?
But if this topic is hurting someone,then let us close this thread,
i don't want to hurt anyone in person.

I know two nepalease are in jail right now ! I don't want to mentaion their name. I don't think it is fair for them. I heard they both are doing very well in jail. Even one of them has chance to getting out early then his prison time.
I wish them good luck. Pashupati Nath le sabi ko kalyan garun.
