We lost everything in fire. We did not have enough time to take out even valuables from home. Even though there were few hours, the blaze was so massive, we did not risk our life. Today we realize how unsafe we were all the way. Even a mundane mistake like forgetting to switch off the iron casued 300 families to loose their home and everything they had in home. How unsafe it is to live in a place where there is no facility of any type of fire extinguisher? Our dear Tehrathum, today we lost almost evrething that links our heart with you. 13-thum

I am shocked by the indifferenfe shown by fellow shajha-basis regarding the fire incident in Tehrathum where about 100 houses are burnt, 300 familie became homeless and lost everything. 13-thum

Dear 13-thum. Silence is not an automatic sign of indifference. Apologies for the late reply. Our heart goes out to your family and neighbors, and we wish you much strength in rebuilding... Meanwhile, tell us more... give us more details of how we can help out? Is the government helping at all? In what ways? What are the urgent needs now? Tell us what kind of help you want to see from Sajhapur. Is there a need for organizing a fund-raiser? Or a discussion about fire safety? Definitely the 300 families in Tehrathum are not the only ones who have lost everything to fire in Nepal this year... not the only ones to have lost everything... Good luck, and keep us updated... Your fellow sajha-basi.
