Dear Sajha members, I am posting this here as I don't have up-to-date emails of all my customers. I hope you will inform your friends. Thanks. Hemendra **************************************************************** Namaste! I regret to inform you that Himtel cards issued over the past three years are no longer functional. The toll free access number -- 1800 210 0177 has been disabled, and so you won't be able to the use the cards anymore. If you have any unused or partially used cards, please provide us with the following information: -- Phone card number -- Name -- Phone number -- Mailing address -- Amount left on the card (estimate) Kindly, do this as soon as possible so that I can send you a check by the end of the year. If there is a small amount remaining on your phonecard, may I suggest that you donate that to a Nepali organization or a charity? I can send combined checks for our customers. Or, for small amounts we can give credit on your next purchase from us. We will start reselling other cards in Jan 2003. Himtel's regular service will resume once telecom is deregulated in Nepal, hopefully in early 2003. I am extremely sorry for any inconvenience our service discontinuation might have caused you. Thank you very much for your continued support. Kindly forward this mail to anyone you know might have used Himtel cards. Hemendra Bohra Himtel, Inc. 781-723-6365 sales@himtel.com |

Hemendraji, You have been an outstanding campaigner for all Nepalese living in USA. You have provided us with an oppurtunity to listen to our family and colleagues at home with your cheap and reliable cards. I have been your customer for quite some time and I have regularly bought cards from Himtel calling card as you have been established as a very good company, unlike some other prank ones, which I dont trust at all. I am sorry that, due to some unlikely reason, you company has been unfuctional and thus you have to close down your business. I know some of my colleagues who are your costumers. I will definitely inform them. Thank you very much Sir for what you have done!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Hemendraji: I have been ripped off by all sorts of calling cards/vendors, not to mention one sweet talking Nepali dude who set up shop in NY and vanished with people's deposits. Still looking for that dude (Mahendra Chalise) to recoupe my money. I tried to get some people together to file a law suit or at least complain with CONSUMER FRAUDS AND PROTECTION bureau at AG's office in NY, but it looked like I was going to be the only plaintif...so gave up. A Nepali travel agent took my money 3 months in advance and gave me tickets only two weeks before the flight, but in a different airline after constantly telling me for two and half months that he would give me ticket for the airline of my choice within few days. Anyway, MY POINT is that Himtel has been providing an outstanding service. If any Nepali wants to do business with Nepalis in US, they should learn from you. I have never lost any money with Himtel, and you have always been honest with customers and even proactively helped/informed them, as this posting shows. Plus, your customer service has been truly professional. Please pass this over to whoever does your customer service. They don't ask you every time you call them what your father's name is! They are professional, courteous, to the point and helpful. You used to have better deals than you have right now, but can't blame you. Hope the telecom mess in Nepal is sorted out and that you can bring good deals to us to connect us to our folks back home without being robbed/cheated. Good luck. |
