I was saddened to hear about the death of princess Shruti. She
was mother of two small daughters. She was an excellent mother,
and as a social activist, she was a kind of celebrity in KTM,
and was probably more social than other royal family members.
I remember watching a race ,participants of which included PT Usha
and Damayanti sth(of Sri Lanka), in Dasharath Rangashala with
Shruti.(Well, I was sitting as nearest a commoner could sit as
possible and there was a football competition between Nepal-Bhutan
later that day). Her gait, her demeanor, and her geniality all
was highly admirable.
I hope the children will have a good life with their dad, and will
get inspiration from their mom.
