Logical Sense ji le bhannu bha... Old Sajha hands are displaying signs of ADD re! Haans uthyo malai ta. I know what ADD is and generally people will ADD have short attention spans, but I am still trying to figure out the context in which he meant it.
Anyhow, he also said that he hopes new people whill come with new and fresh ideas. And I totally agree with that. I enjoy this site and love how it has grown and how so many people participae actively. It is fun watching people make their "first entries" into Sajha with fanfare and gain a rapid following of sorts or those who enter quietly but manage to carve a niche in this noisy place by blinding us with their brilliance (that sounds cheesy as hell, but oh well, you know what I mean) . It is fun!!

What? Old Sajhaites have ADD? I dare you to find evidence of ADD on Sajha, among the old OR the young! After all, ADD means:
1) Talking excessively (what? on Sajha?)
2) Getting off the subject, which nobody on Sajha EVER does, especially not on threads involving personalities, Ashu, etc.
3) Often not pyaing attnetion to detials and makng carelesss misteaks, which I nver evver seeee on sjha and crtainly dont evr due myslf
4) Not seeming to listen. WHAT? DID YOU JUST ACCUSE ME OF HAVING ADD? DO YOU MEAN THAT AS A CASTE INSULT? HOW DARE YOU IMPLY THAT ALL PEOPLE LIKE ME HAVE ADD AND I ... oh sorry you didn't say that? Well, let me just respond to that, what I think if you ask ME ME ME ME oh excuse me ME ME ME ME I listen very well, see?
5) Restless and fidgety. That can't possibly be the case for people who are sitting at work oh so productively or in the university library and calling up Sajha every--oh, how many times a day?
Naaaaah. Must be some other Website you're thinking of.

Prem Pujari, I'm afraid you do have ADD. And it might be even worse than that. But first, let Dr. Sally ask some more questions for Prem Pujari et al:
Symptoms of ADD must be present in more than one setting. If you have symptoms of distractability, are they present only on Sajha, or also at home? For instance:
1) Do you ever lose the other pair of your socks?
2) Can you ever not find a pen when you need one?
3) Did you ever leave the cat in the dryer, after which your cat has run away in terror whenever he sees dirty laundry?
4) Do you ever forget to do the laundry?
If you answered "yes" to the first 2 questions, you have ADD.
If you answered "yes" to the first three questions, you have ADD and so does your cat, and it's your fault.
If you answered "yes" to all four questions, you and your cat both have ADD, and so does your mother. This is clear evidence that you have forgotten a deep-seated childhood trauma of being left in the dryer by your ADD mom. Don't tell the psychiatrist you didn't have a dryer. That would be denial, and you'd need more hypnosis. Or maybe past-life regression.
If, on the other hand, you still insist (like Prem Pujari) that you're NOT distractible but in fact are very, very interested in conversation--but only in your own--you are also autistic.
That will be $75, please.

o oys_chill although I would be honored to be given the title of DOJI, I'm afraid I would have to leave that to the young uns here to claim that as I haven't lived in Darjeeling for the last 18 years! I know nothing about the place except that the memories I have of my land are engrained deep in my soul!
Hence, call me a khachalteyko immigrant! tara OVER JANNEY?? NOPES I couldn't boast of that upadhi!

As for you, Prem Pujari, as an ethical practicioner I of course cannot accept your kind offer of ghush sush, but of course if you pay more, you DO get the First Class treatment, and that may well result in a diagnosis more to your liking.

Hey, my charge might sound high, but consider the cost-benefit analysis.
If you become certified as ADD plus autistic (plus for an additional charge I'm sure I can find evidence of dyslexic plus mentally challenged), you could gain the appropriate accomodations under the Disabilities Act. So you can take the medical school exam, as a take-home exam, with a month's time and a tutor.
Then you can go to med school, where--if you continue to pay my very reasonable fees, which could enable me to find evidence of allergies to exams--you will get MORE accomodations, so you'll soon pass medical school with flying colors.
THEN comes the payoff. You can become a highly paid psychiatric consultant like me. Plus I'll throw in, for free, a certification as OOOOOOOJI. (One Other Online Oll 'Ours Of-the-day Over Janne Intellectual).

Forget the cost benifit analysis. You are giving me paranoia. Your additional charge is not justified, since you are thinking about sending me to school again. I don't need no tutor and I don't need no exam's -- even if it is take home exam. I'd consider that as underdevelopement of my mental process. However, if YOU consider appointing me a tutor, I'd prefer blond female hi-fi tutor. Atleast it'd worth my money.
Could you make it clear about that accomodation thing? You see I need to give my landlord 2 months notice. Oh yeah, By the way, that month's time for take-home exam is not appropriate. It should be atleast a semester. After all who is a patient here? Can I borrow your laptop during that period? I am a regular chatter and poster in sajha. If I don't log in to my computer for one day, I get all the symptoms of addictions -- Slowed behavior, drowsiness, nausea, euphoric feeling etc, which will be another problem for you. And you have to fix those things for me in that $100 we promised.
If you are thinking about making me a part of your double-blind experiment on 'allergies to exams', then just let me know beforehand. I think we could use some concession there. Afterall I don't wanna be the first person in the world who pays for being the part of the experiment.
You just gave me the dream of being someone like you. I hope we don't need Freud here to interprete that dream of mine. If my dream is not fulfilled, I'd not falter to give you the Title of SP (sally Phobia).
Let me know, there is so little time and so many things to be taken care of... before i get accommodated.
