Christmas has come and gone. Some of us stuffed our faces to the gill, gained five pounds over night, and have carpel tunnel syndrom from a) opening gifts or b) from shoveling food into our mouths. After the horrors and depravity of 2001, somehow 2002 turned into a year of excesses. I wish for the new year a change in pace... I wish that 2003 returns us to a wiser world, where the steps are measured, thoughtful and deliberate, where those steps are pondered over and appreciated... I wish for moderation. Peace.

Poonte ji and others who rode the band wagon on validating use of "KATTE" for fun. My addition: This is my personal comment, and it might not be important to you what I think or don't think on you. But, for me it matters what derogatory word you use on whether its for fun or real, I will keep on raising whether its related bahun or with other communities. I will not let you go unnotified whenever I have chances to note it. Face it. Well, you can neglect it or me, but, I will not neglect you. Well, whether I personally trust you or not will probably not matter to you. You can nelgect me or my comments. Before you justified the use of "KATTE" adjective, I had very high regard on you, great faith on your writings, but, when you justified, and then you tried to make fun on me using the "KATTE" word, I realized who the ... you are. I realized everything I saw on you was just illusions. Now, you and your band wagon can run another series of posting on me or "KATTE", but, I will be happy to see them. It will illustrate your real face, who you are. Instead of hiding your real face, its better to know who you are. Please, throw you postings and I will love to read it. HG

If you are denying that there exists a PRATHA in Nepal of "KATTO KHANE," then I have nothing to say to you. The last time I checked, the culture if choosing a BRAHMAN to KATTO KHANU after someone's dead--who'd be given the possessions of the deceased, provided a full meal, and then sent away--was still vibrant among some communities in Nepal. Could you be confusing the words "KATTO" and "KATHA"? I suspect so, because I know the latter is a deragotory word, and as far as my memory serves me well, I have never used the word "KATHA". Niu khojo-ing on jahan payo tehin, and on je payo tehi, is both unnecessary and obnoxious. I think you are the one who's been showing your real face with your postings thus far. Spare us your arrogance, please!

Best wishes for peace, progress and prosperity to all. You don't have to read the following pointless rambling, but you may: ;) My resolution...nil. Never truly had this tradition, and I seem to have lost the sense of awe in throwing a calendar away. Call me cynical, uninspired, and devoid of the mystical bones! :) Not that I don't have resolutions, but they tend to come and go at random points in any calendar year. Current resolution: start doing something else...as vague as that, but I am seriously working on it!

My additional wishes to all fellow Nepalis including sajhapurian and beyond Sajhapur: May you develop capacity to answer the following question: "Watashi nan nan desu ka?" English: "What am I? Who am I? Why me?" in Nepali: "Ma k hum? yane, ma ko hun? yo bhid ma, yane, yo manche ko jatra ma mero astitwo khali ek sankhya matrai ho ki mero aroo pani kunai astitwo chha.". I am tired of botomline Nepali habit of HAMI HAMRO stuffs everywhere, I wish my fellow citizens develop to think beyond bottomline habit: hamiharu and hamro "=just one vote?", think towards MAPAI, who am I? "Who am I? " = y = mx + c = mapai * action + thresold hami factor (in communist world mx = 0, but, in free world [mapai * aciton] has more weightage on being above commoner). God bless you all. HG PS: in the search of answer to "Watashi nan nano?". Why am I different from you?

Tyatikai ni! :))))) Happy New Year to you. La la Cha cha HaHoo Guru ji! Tapain ra mapai! Ramrai ho ni ta! To each their own. Hoina ra?

Surya ji, Thank you for your unique greetings and comments. Mero bhanai khali ke ho bhane harek "HAMI" bhitra "MA Kina bhanne huncha, hunu parcha. What is my responsibility in this "HAMI", i.e. why am I here? Watashi no yakuwari wa nan desu ka?". Therefore, my greetings on new year 2003 should also be different above thresold greetings. "Happy new year 2003" by all sajhapurian and the same line does not make this thread interesting, and I want to hear and read what uniqueness each individual 's new year's wishes contains. Each "MA" makes HAMI, but, if someone is angry for writing additional or unique wishes, then, its tsumaranai. Mathematically, This thread is mine, P(G), and its also yours, Surya ji 's P(S), and its ours, P(SG): intersection part only. If P(G) = P(S) =P(SG) [Maximum entropy condition], then, this thread is useless, sajhapur is also useless, not really interesting. As a human being it can never be same, we are all different, and we should know that why am I different from you [P(G)-P(SG)]? Where are you different from me, i.e. P(S)-P(SG)? should be searched and understood as well as noted for the benefit of oneself and for the benefit of society. So, my wishes were unique above the bottomline. [MAPAI = P(G)-P(SG)] HG

My resolution in Sajhapur in 2003 will be to search: S = a fellow sajhapurian G = HahooGuru (myself) HAMI-PAI = P(SG) MAPAI = P(G) -P(SG) TAPAI = P(S) - P(SG) Let us know each other. HG
