Reports of my selection seem grossly exaggerated and I plead not guilty by reason of insanity. In case this argument is rejected, I am preparing to defend myself along the following lines:
(1) I am just a small rat, impersonating on the internet from my rathole
(2) I am barely 3 months old, still legally underage
(3) I am hugely unpopular among rat frats because I communicate with them, the "people", and reject all rat religions, dogmas
(4) I may have been dead for a long time
(5) I am not sure of my existence; At best I may be a rat brain on a vat. I have been unsuccessful in conclusively proving my existence
(6) After Gush-Bore drama, I am shunning any kind of selection or election, lest I be compared to the imperor George Gush the II (peace be up on him)
(7) In ratworld, you can not be a "person"; that's treason, arrogant, politically incorrect, racist, pretentious, un-chic,...
(8)You are hurting my chances of romance (and ultimately procreation) among the chic rats in rodentia
(9)I am going into hibernation soon, so I will have no way of flaunting your crown, which doesn't fit my head anyway, and may have in fact been discriminatorially designed for the chic ladies at Sajhapur
(10) I can smell that there are other rodents actively participating in, hiding in, running around, digging holes in, or merely observing Sajhapur, who truly deserve or want your crown.
Regards and best wishes for your new year from Rodentia and I respectfully urge you, San, to reconsider my case and set me free, or at least release me on bail. I have got a few garbage cans to chew on.
