Koirala to expose brain behind royal massacre at opportune time By Kiran Bhandari/ Shyam Sundar Sashi (The Kathmandu Post) JANAKPUR, Jan 1 Nepali Congress president and former prime minister Girija Prasad Koirala here today threatened to expose the ‘grand design’ that who was behind the Royal Palace massacre of June 1, 2001. Addressing to the meeting of party cadres after arriving here for the run up to a rally in Sarlahi slated for Thursday, Koirala said he has been maintaining silence over the issue fearing that it would trigger fresh round of unrest. "I deliberately choose to keep shut but I will expose everything on an opportune time," he said adding that ‘the time is not far away.’ Koirala said he would expose the brain and actors of the ‘grand design’ in which King Birendra and his entire family was wiped out. Koirala also suggested that since the constitution has clearly spelt out that the nation cannot go without the elected parliament for more than six months, king would do well to revive the House of Representatives as part of the solution to the constitutional and political crises. "King still has the chance to make correction in the constitutional process by reviving the House of Representatives," Koirala said. Koirala also claimed that since the constitution has explicitly said that the elections must be conducted within six months after the dissolution, it goes without saying that the dissolution is subject to either timely elections or restoration of the House of Representatives. Reinstatement is the only way since the royal announcement under 127 has to be passed by the people’s representatives. "If anyone says reinstatement is not possible, it is baseless," Koirala further said, adding that the verdict did not come from the Supreme Court to render the system as redundant.

since gpk is implying he was there in the room at narayanhiti the night of june 1, 2001, we should expect his "truth" to corroborate with other survivors'.

Nepali maa eutaa bhanaai chha ni: "kaag badhtaa chalaakh bhayo bhane -- khaanchha". My hunch is that Girija does not have any insider information on the royal massacre. He is trying to *brainwash* the public by coming up with all sorts of stories. May be he does not realize that by claiming to know the real actors behind the massacre, he is digging a grave for himself. As utopian implies, as soon as he tells his story, the very next question people will ask will be: "Why didn't you tell the story earlier?" This will push him further down the *oraalo*. On a positive note, I am happy when people like Girija--who have been *kalanka* in the name of democratic leaders and given a real bad reputation to democracy--slowly lose their credibility. It is high time that people like Girija leave politics. He does talk about making Nepal a republic--one good aspect that he has--but from his history, we have every reason to doubt his words.

Girija and 'truth' ! Aren't these two rather mutually exclusive qualities? I personally think Girija Koirala has nothing to offer the country...least of all TRUTH ! He barks this today, that tomorrow, and sheer stupidity the next day, but like a mad dog, there is nothing coherent or consistent in his senile ramblings. This guy is a big embarrassment to himself and the rest of Nepali Congress. I am sure he will now find more fodder to ramble as the civic reception seem to have gone very well in his home town for the king...I will not be suprised if he accuses all the Biratnagarbasis of being part of his 'grand design' involved in the royal massacre of June 2001! But what the heck, this old fart is good for a sick laugh every now and then!

What did them people gave us to I and my people. That is where people like you cant stand up as a man and accept da truth. And then You and them people accuse I and I of being bigot. That means you is them too.Just name one of My people that hurt the country or decieved them people. Instead my people died always for them your people. And them my people went up to da mountaintop fought in Afghanistan three generations before and all I and I get is called dirty people and inhumane. Rastaman, You should understand the meaning of history before you comment on it. You can blame the entire world for being "them" as it is not "you". "You" are hiding behind the corrupt netas to shield yourself. Why do you have to bring Girija and other corrupted netas to prove your point, every time? The whole world knows they are scoundrels, you do not have to say it, we all know it for the fact. But you need to understand the hate and communal feeling that you advocate and the long time implications of it. It will not just affect the "them people", it will affect every one. All I have to say it to you is "grow-up".

Giri---ja meaning go to hell! so who cares? He is one of top Nepali neta pandits of the politics of nepal, who knows how to perform "SHRADHA" to get dashina. Look at the netas by nature oli, nepal, bhattarai, dahal... all are brahman pandits.....They have honey in toungue and dagger in heart. They do sweet talking to fool the nepalies. Here is one legend which explains why Tamangs live on steep slopes and Brahmin lives in fertile valleys. The brahman told the tamang "eh tamang, yahan Bhir pakha ma bhaya uthi uthi kam garna sajilo huncha, tala khet-ma bhaya dhad dukne gari nihu re ra kam garnu parcha" (It is easier to work in the bari (slopping terraces) where one can stand and work. But in the khet one has to bend low to work in the field. Poor tamang believed what the cunning brahman told. And now tamangs are found living on steep slopes where they grow one crop a year. Where as the Brahmans are found in the fertile valleys where they grow three crops a year. Believe it or not this is exactly what happened to our democrcy. Every student or party neta I saw during democratic movement in the campus and universities are sweet talking brahmin netas. Those who got killed are poor innocent janata. When they came to power, they looted the nation's wealth. Just guess girija who organized the first hijacking of nepal airlines became a democratic leader of nepal. The type of leadership we got from the type of leader we chosed. Now we have chaos. Now I think to have the real democracy in Nepal we need to have BRAHMANLESS politicians! Brahminless democracy will be best suited for Nepal.

And one thing Pipaldanda dont know is them people went down to khet them people never worked or grew crops. Them people told I and my people hey people you do really good job growing crops to feed yourselves. Why are you taking up the burden of keeping the land on your name and taking trouble of managing it. Instead why dont you let me handle the management so you just work and I will give you enough to feed your whole family. Which sounded good. So the land was taken from I and I who treated everyone equal and listened to everyone. So now taha cha calls I and I communal and a bigot for telling da history and trying to bring a change.

But what makes a grown-up a grown-up? Is it age? Is it wisdom? Is it knowledge? Is it harmony? or is it hatred? Yes, you are communal and hateful, of course! You have a generalized opinion about people of certain types that does not match with your own physical structure. Rastaman, You and PD have similar views. You are selecting one segment of history and think that this is all the history we have had. Brahmins have enjoyed limited privileges in the past that is true during Rana regime. For example they would not hang Brahmins, but you cannot hold the history responsible for certain caste. Brahmins were never in power. The mallas ruled the Kathmandu Valley, Kings of differenr origins ruled different parts of the country before Prithivinarayan Shah. The cast system was made "rigid" in the 17th century before Prithivinarayan Shah. I hope you know the history! Your views about Brahmins are like the Nazi views of Jews. If this is about you not being in power.. I am sorry I do not know your background or your qualifications or I don't even know you to vote for you if you run for election ;-0. If you are against Monarchy that is your opinion, it is a different topic and you are entitled for your opinion and you have every right to do so. But you do not have any right to accuse every one of being "them people" and shutting them off or force people to accept your version/belief of truth

Hey, I cannot advocate for what congress or other parties do, who they elect to represent them. In democracy parties decide who is going to represent them for certain regions. I do not have any names for you for any lawmakers that came from mountains. I don't even know who the lawmaker from my own town is as I have been out of the country for some time. This brings up the fact that you need to educate "your people" to fight for their rights, fight for their right for representation, this is what a democracy is about blaming entire race is not; it is Nazism.

Rastaman, I have evaluated your recent postings and call you a biget. I still stand by it. If you change you stand than I will change mine as well. You have extreme hate for brahmins and love for your kind. This is a definition of being a bigot. I have copied a definition of a bigot for your reference "A person who regards his own faith and views as unquestionably right, and any belief or opinion opposed to or differing from them as unreasonable or wicked. In an extended sense, a person who is intolerant of opinions which conflict with his own, as in politics or morals; one obstinately and blindly devoted to his own church, party, belief, or opinion." If your frustration is against people who own land, then you can very well join maobadis, they are vigorously recruiting people that hate landlords. There is nothing I can do here. If your frustration is about people who have big houses, join maobadis, again. I cannot help you here either. If you feel sorry for the poor and try to bring positive economic change in the country we can work together. If your frustration is with GPK and BRB, I have the same feeling. If you are willing to spread some positive change in Nepal, not spread communal hatred, I am with you as well.

I am not talking about brahman cast. Sorry, I love my brahman friends. I am talking about brahministic character. Look how they cheat us. Do you know "gau dan". When I went to Pashupati, the brahmin prist told me to hold the "kush" (grass) and told me to imagine as if I was holding the tail of the cow taking me to heaven. To do that he took Rs 100. I am educated but still I have to belive the grass I was holding is mother cow's tail. Now the same thing is hapening in Nepal. Look how these neta's are telling the people. They define and redefine the constitution. They were talking , they are talking and they will be talking like that in future until they get what they wanted. This is their behavior. When analyzing it they are all the same brahmins in the back ground with the same motive to come to power. So this is the reason why democracy is not taking its root because of braministic activities. So it has nothing to do with the Nazis. They had enjoyed so much in the past and now it is other people's time to test for the real brahminless democratic Nepal. I think in this way good people will come as real leaders not the stupid thugs represented by the present netas.

This statement by Girija is one of the most classic example of bankruptcy when it comes to talking about Nepali leaders' courage and responsibility. He was entrusted and put in the power by the people of Nepal.Leaders of Nepal have become inept. If he knew of the conspiracy, then people would like to know about it. But this can't be no more than another propoganda of his selfish, nepotistic politics. He has not given anything in returns to the trust and power people endowed on his party and leadership. He has gone insane,he will die one day pretty soon.Girija and other leaders get ready to lick the sole of palace if they can broker some power in returns to their lip service. Democracy demands honesty and responsibility to its proper functioning. Girija and the like are not capable of fulfilling it.

My admiration is conditional – valid only if he is talking about the royal massacre. The sad think is that he is using this grand design hoping for his political gains.

I think it is giri-ja 's grand design, another brahministic trick to blind fold and mislead the public. He was the organizer of the first hijacking of nepal airline and looted 10 million dollars. When he was PM everything was alright. Now he is looking ways and means to come to power. We shouldn't think the grass we are holding is mother cow's tail that is taking us to heaven while girija and other netas are performing "Gau dan" ritual. There is a proverb in Nepali "kag le kan lagyo bhandaima kag ko pachi lagnu hundaina" Girija is a typical brahministic "a cunning crow".

Hey People why dont you guys listen to what I said? It is them that does this all. One thaha Cha guy got away because he could not face the truth. Instead he tells I that I can not speak or write or grammar is wrong or everything. Whats up with that. And whey would anyone call his self Bewakoof? Cause he is them people too. Anyone left to argue with truth? Because there can not be no argument over truth. Because what I say is not theory but the truth about them people.

jimpathi is right . james bonds should investigate. Rastaman: we are listening. What you said is crystal clear to us. No need of good english. we are here to comunicate not to show our scholarly superiarity. As long as we can understand, even dumb language is enough. No need to read "rig bed" and "patros".

Hey them people call I heretic. Rasta is no heretic. Rasta love his country and I and I. Them people dont want no Rasta here cause I and I speak da truth. And why James bond? Would you call you James Bond. What kind of hero is he? Dont see him do nothing except kill others for his own gains and have them ladies for his pleasure. You want to be like he? What a pitiful thought. As I said them is the biggest problem in da country. Them people never let I do anything and now them say I cant even read or write good Englash. Arent them Englash brought all them woe to da world? Didnt I and I fought for they? And them Englash paid I only half.Thaha Cha does not know it. Because them people of his never had to fight to keep them honor. Cause them people got everything from sucking the blood of I and I with them Patros.

I think jamesbond likes you too. You can be his assistant in the investigation so that we can bring the right kind of people to justice. We will tie them up so that they won't escape. There shouldn't be any tricks to release on bail just like Wagle and Guptas are released. Now wagle and Guptas can play games again to escape.

It is nothing. Everyone of them say this guys is bad and that but all them people do is put I and I down. Them people of da class just suck da blood of I and I. Got to change them peoples thinking.Yes them Guptas , Wagles and them all. The truth is if them were Tamangs, Rais or Limbus they would have hanged them before even taking them to da court. Isnt that da whole truth and can James bond and them deny it?

This is most likely nothing more than political posturing by Girija Koirala - it would be very interesting to see how this plays out in the coming days especially with respect to the relationship between these two Gs of Nepali politics.
