Inspired by PP’s long gone posting ******************************** One way bonanza ticket : $27.50 Two subway tokens: 1.50 * 2 Getting lost : 1.50 *4 chiya at Jackson Heights: $1.50 tato tato samosa : $2.50 Momo at Manhattan: $6.50 Meeting Nepali Yankees and Sajhaites: Priceless! ;) Sincere gratitude to all those made my days in NYC very memorable one. To AX bro for his hospitality unparalled and “sayari” dai for giving me company, Najar dizzu for all the talks and the hypes, and did I mention your bunch of cool friends, had a great evening. A mini sajha get together was great too, and so was tangra ko tagada khana..what do u say simple jyu and “sajha inclined” bro? Last but not least , poo dai rocked in every aspect hai, poo dai eklai le tyausi bina nai nyc hallayera rakhnu bha raicha, ani bhauju ko ni samjhana re kya ;) tyo choila was BULLET! Party was awesome. oh! Ani thanx for taking me to pari patti “neighbor dizzu” ko ghar ma pani, brunch was good, so were the ONLY SINGLE GALS IN NYC! (sad part about nyc!) daju-bhai ko aghav prem dekhera sabbai chakha hoina ta poo dai? eheh And of course insurmountable misses: Soleil dai and Kalankistan jyu, sajha get together ma 75% ta hajur kai kura bho. Oys, Thanks for this posting dear. It was very sweet of you to do so. Yeah, the khana, gaana, hasna-hasana, and meetho samjhana of our mini sajha gathering at Poo dai's place was great! I had a priceless time as well. :) I'm a huge fan of NYC and I'm glad you had a good time here. I hope you have a good rest of winter vacation! Summary of Expenses: Airfare - $234.70 Taxi ride from LGA airport to saathi ko ghar in queens- $13+ $3(tips) [ Due to the fact that Poonte conveniently forgot my flight schedule despite my RSVP on sajha ek mahina agaadi ;) ] Additional off peak cell-phone charges (anticipated) on making plans (sajha+non-sajha)- $70 (poonte hajurbaa yelled at me for talking too much on the phone ) Fun fare pass for subway - $4*5 Chiya @Jackson heights =$1 *5 ppl (average) *3 days +5 tips=$20 (Aba arko choti jaada ta Poo & PP Inc chiya Palace khuli sakchha hola, and so $20 bachat hunchha) Taas ma haareko =$80 (haraune haru Poo hajurbaa, AX, Oys, "saayer" dai ho ki bhai ani arko saathi ko naam birshe , haareko karan chahi tricks nayera, ra amateur kheladi parera, and ofcourse mahango game, nonetheless enjoyed it) Seeing Oys come out the next door building (unplanned )while still on the phone =shockingly funny My non-sajha friends trying to guess mero and Oys's sajha names= hilarious ( they came up with all but our names :) ] Not being able to meet w/ VV dai pahile dekhi pilan gare taa pani =disappointing Bhetghats with sajha +non-sajha friends, family= Absolutely Priceless Ani ahile samma ta poonte le Oys lai saali mailaune matrai suninthhyo, Aba ta malai jhan london ma awasthhit hot, witty, intelligent and one heck of a flamboyant saala sanga kura nai chalaidine re. Hajur ba ho to Poonte the great jasta ;) Also, sajha ma poo bhauju le poo lai gaali garya katha dherai suniyo; in contrast poo bhauju is incredibly sweet; did not get a chance to meet her but heard from others and tasbir aafai bolchha, beautiful bhauju. Tyes maathi aba ta jhan wahan ko bhai lai bhetne pilaan chha, naramro kura garnai bhayena. Bhauju yeso kahile kahi boli prashphuttan garibaksyos na sajha tira :) Sorry for not being able to make to your grand party on the 31st. Btw, kasailai heart ko rog chha bhane poonte ko tyausi na chadhnu hai...aafu lai ta mariyela bhanne katro darr, tyes maathi poonte ko saala sanga bhetna nai agaadi. S-gal, yes i reached home safe, sound and one piece with fun-filled 5 days memories. Hamro B-brother convince bhayo sajha ma aauna? S, S and R-dai were asking about you Sorry we could not come to meet you guys either on 31st. And PremPujari aka Kalanki, you were the highlight of our sajha conversations. Najar, Kya hasayauni timile! :) PP ji aka Kalanki, I second Najar's motion--you were the highlight of our sano bhetghat! We are all hoping to meet the one and only PPKK....Or PK in chhotkari, on some other jamghat in NYC. Aunu parchha ni feri hai? ;) Since you're so fond of shayari, here's one esp. for you: Dekhii jaye to tum nahin the Phir dekha to tum hi tum the Tumhare baton me sab guum the Haan ye sach hi to hei ke tum wahin the To kya hua agar tum aur kahin the! Ke garne Najar, our B-brother is not fully convinced about joining sajha. :( For him, everything in the world is "all that JAA[R]GON" as he's been saying and mero tauko khaaing for the past year. Ani ajhai ek dui wata highlights:p Poonte ko classic TYAUSI ko chukul yeso maathi tanda baarai niskane rahechha..malai ta poonte le mero tyausi bhach diyi bhanla bhanne katro peer! Hatta patta milae jastari rakhdiye. Pheri bahira baata dhoka kholda jhandai aafai side ko hiun ma baldyang. Ani poonte le najar timlai ghar jaanda kheri baato ma khana hunchha bhanera tangra ko salad ra ali kati meal chhutaera rakhya thhyo, poonte ko ghar mai birsiye chha. Pilen ma bhok laagda jhaljhali samjhe tyo khane kura. Tyo malibu ma haaleko ET icecubes ko ta jhan bayan nai chhaina. Kasto florescent rangi changi ice cubes --hariyo, orange, raato sabai bright as hell hehehhe Last but not least poonte ko gaine geets were superb! Thanks Poonte for your wonderful hospitality. Poor Oys had to put up with me and my freinds wondering around the big sahar and south seaport ani dhruba dai ko restaurant in manhattan. Oys, mero saathis too said you were very cool, thhyaaki didi jastai re :) Aba tehi mauka chhopera yeso nyu tira proceed gara summer ma, bhetna aamla! S-gal, lambu cutie is doing very well. THe latest i saw was about 2600 unique visitors in sajha--perhaps we'll have to keep in mind what they all find tasteful. From what i understand of my last few months stay in sajha we are free to post what we please as long as its not derrogatory, offensive to others. If you two have seen any of that please enlighten us, else aru hajur haru ko chitta bujhne thread ma sawari bhaye hunchha, why bother wasting your precious time yesto jaabo didi, bhai, dai, tyausi ko ganthan ma.. |

Oys, Pooh dai, 'n Najar, I was listening again to the songs from 1974AD band. Cool ones! My fav was sambodhan timilai. I had only heard of the band, so thanks to y'all who introduced me to them. Btw, B-bro has finally been convinced about joining sajha. :) He was amazed by the sheer quality of our bhetghat and how close we all were despite our origin at an "internet" site! Najar, I hope you were able to go to that restaurant in the East village---the Tibetan place that serves great momos in a beautiful and soothing ambience. It's one of my fav joints. Next time you're there, do try Typhoon, a japanese restaurant at St. Mark's place. Another cool joint. When Pooh dai and Najar come together in one place, then there's laughter, laughter, and more laughter! seriously bhanya hai. Ma ta jhandai marey hansera. Aruhighlights of the meet: 1. Najar chai nindra lagyo bhandai thyo ani Poo dai le "Nightie lyaidiun" bhandai bahira niske. Ek chhin pachhi ta sachikai Nightie po liyera aaechhan! :) 2. Poo dai le afai compose gareko gaine gana....kya khatara. "New Yorka ma pela pela tyeksi....sabai jana thiti haru sarai raechhan syeksi...." (lyrics: Poo dai; music: also Poo dao; singer: aru ko ni...of course Poo dai!!) Poo dai---One Man Entertainment Package! And he sang the songs wearing typical Nepali dhaka topi. 3. Btw, mero bhauju sanga ni kura bhaisakyo, oxford ko hero sanga ta almost kura pakka, unless german hero superceded him (german ko kura chahi ke hudai chha, poonte?:p german ko dijju ta mero aafnai manchhe parsechha poo bhauju ko nanda, badi weight hunchha;) I did not even get to go to east village this tyaam, khali bhetghat, guff gaff mai sakiyo. Listening! Listening!!! Finallly, after 16 hrs of work, listening at 1:30 am!!! Good news! Oxfordae will be returning to the US byt eh end of summer! Bad news! He can only be euti ki...no jethi/kanchhi...kaanoon le marchha. And he might be closer to S-Gal by distance, than Najar hai! Okie, me has decided one thing... since S-gal is interested in Ox-fore guy, and the fact that she lives only 2 hrs drive in pyaalo tyausi from new york sahar as opposed to 8-10 hrs (as pointed out by pyaro poo dai) I am going to politely step back. Pheri ma jasto freshmyan year ma college drop out garne, kaam na saam, anuhar na danuhar ko manchhe lai ke pattau thhyo tyo ox-fore, ke ke jaati ko hero le. Ma chahi not in this loop anymore hai.
