It's been a long time since I last visited Sajhapur, the home of San Pradhan and an ashram for many others. People may have come and gone, but Sajhapur still seems to be hanging in there giving "ashraya" to all the pilgrims thus maintaining its strength in this virtual community. "Ashraya"...the name I chose for my new born cousin. Isn't that a beautiful name? I like names that carry good meanings, unlike some Tom Dick and Harry. Not that I despise English names, but I simply love nepali names that are meaningful speaking of which, reminds me of a conversation with a fellow Sajhaite who once said to me, "a lot of people in Sajhapur think your real name is Dilasha," I found that quite funny. Perhaps with names like Sitara, Logical Sense, Jira, Ruck etc. that are distinctively pseudonyms, mine could be mistaken for a real name. Anyway, for a person who'd like to remain anonymous, I'd rather not reveal my identity.
So, what's happening in the glitzy and the glamorous sajhallywood these days? Anything interesting? Did Sitara elope with Czar? or did Mr. Frost take the road less travelled and thus whisked her away while the others kept drooling? :) Did Bitchpatroll finally patch up with Paramendra? Did Ustaad Nepe finally cut his debut album of ghazals? Did NK give birth to twins? (the last I heard was she's expecting :)) Did Simplegal finally find her Simpleboy? Did Chiple dai buy a new tractor for his Muktinath trip? Did Paschim finally tie the knot after pataooing his friend's sister's friend's sister living happily ever after? Did Arnico get lost in the jungles of terai or did the crocodiles eat him up? I hope all's well and dandy in Sajhapur.
I know I'm late but I want to wish you all a Very Happy New Year. Hope you all had a blast. Mine was a quiet family affair. To me the only thing that's exciting about New Year is getting the day off. That's it. It's just another day of another year so nothing really special. X-mas was more fun cuz it's more of a family celebration plus the exchange of ton of gifts make me feel as happy as the next door kid. Last minute shopping made me a bit exhausted, but thank god I found most of the gifts in one store named Bath Body and Beyond. That store is one heck of a store. I mean you can find everything you need. You name it they have it. I got some beautiful gifts as well. Since I love cooking, my host mother gave me a huge oval-shaped plate made of clay and beautifully hand painted which I used once after my mom who visited me from Nepal made "Selroti". The cutest gift I got was from my ten year old american brother and that was this small Kung-fu hamster which would sing this cute song once you press a button on its hand. Oh that was a crazy gift which cracks me up everytime I press the button. It was a fun-filled christmas. Too bad it didn't snow though. It would've been more fun I guess.
Went to watch the movie Chicago the other night and boy is it so captivating!!! I was completely stunned by the whole movie which was phenomenal! It was like watching a Broadway musical. I mean seriously it's mind blowing!! I think Renee Zellweger will get an oscar nomination. She's done an amazing job! Catherine Zeta Jones has done a great job as well so has Richard Gere. Unlike Bollywood movies where songs and dances mean just running around trees and using up the three hour time, Chicago is so different. For those of you who love dances and Blues and Jazz, this is THE movie for ya'll. It's worth every penny!
Alright folks, I gotta go now. I may not be able to visit Sajhapur as much as I want to but I will try my best to read interesting postings every now and then. Hope you all have a great year ahead!!

Let me report some SAJHA happenings:
SITARA chose to elope with words!
BP and Parmendra could not patch up as finally Parmendra had to use the only left SULESON to patch up his 18- wheeler.
Ah...NK...she delivered one..(you can see it in right hand side of SAJHA)..and is still in labor pain.
yeh..simplegal found The simple boy..just looking for HAHOOGOOROO to work on GRAHADASHA and find a suitable date.
Aru dherai ke bhanu....PASCHIM is banned from Sajha..after SAN noticed that..he is after cuties of SAJHA.

Hey Dilasha, good to see you back again. Your absence in Sajhapur was indeed strongly felt by many including myself. Whenever I visited Kurakani, I was feeling as if I were eating momo sans masu, jeri sans chini or perhaps trekking without climbing ukalos and oralos or returning from Pokhara without a Baidam ko fanko.
Anyway, thanks for reminding me about the tractor trip to Muktinath. Kaha bata kinnu ni hau tractor. I was going to rent one for you but the whole trip had to be postponed following your disappearance from Sajhapur as well as Najar’s failure to get a long enough vacation. These days instead of trekking, trucking, or tractoring, I have been more into bussing. Kahile macha khana Dolalghat kahile khataray Monica Lewinsky bus ma Pokhara. Day by day he is getting younger. He is now (around new year) midgetier than when i saw him perform at the kasturi club last dashain. Jhan bhanda jhan flirtatious (see the thread on--at victoria secret). Mero pyari bhauju lai phone nagari bhaaa chhaina. And a khush khabari ---poo hajur ba too, is becoming a father soon, that too of four poonta poontee quadraplets--bharkhar poo bhauju ko telgram padhya. Aba chhora chhori le thhik parchhan poonte lai. Tyo classsic tyausi is demanding a rest. Too exhausted to be driven. Poonte should instead take up a full time job of posting at sajha, together with occasional taas playing, binge-drinking and word wrestling.
Btw, poonte there is one way out of me not calling my poo bhauju to your poll kholing of sajha--soonest saala lai amrika bolaunu paryo ;) summer samma pheri mariyo bhane ke garne? :(
Czarji--i think this perhaps is the first time i have addressed to you. But have silently read your postings since my entry to sajha about 3 months ago. You really have a wide array of knowledge, interests and eloquence. Keep it up!
