I have been a silent reader of sajha for a long time and I decided to write today because I think that the quality of sajha.com is going down because of Rastaman.
Simply reading the way he writes is very irritating. At first it was cute but now it has become an eyesore. I don't feel like coming to the site anymore because I am tired of reading about 'dis and dem'. I come to this site to read writing that I can read easily and understand.
He may think he's cool by trying to throw an accent, but accent as we know it comes when speaking and NOT when writing.
I hope to ask other readers who feel the same way as me to write their feelings. If I am the only one then I think this is not the place for me.

Dear Nilkantha,
I am glad Rastaman forced you to join Sajha, actively!! Rasta I think is like the proverbial forbidden fruit, khya pani pashcyatap, nakhaya pani paschyatap! Like you just said, you could just ignore his posting as soon as you see his name in the byline. But you do not, you feel compelled to read through every detail of the tortured jamaican. There is some seduction in his affected Jamaican English, I think we can visualize the sound by looking at the writing. I think that is the magic of Rasta, even his sworn detractors are compelled to read him. Need I say more? So just take him as the tite karela...nobody ever digs the taste, but we all feel the need to bite into it once it we see it on the plate.
My sense is that Rasta is a incredibly funny guy relishing all the comments he is generating...so we should also take his postings in that spirit. In the Rastafarian spirit.
Jah (I have no idea what it is supposed to mean, but I like the sound!)

I think it does get a little bit irritating. Its not same as hearing as reading that 'brotherly' accent. Don't abandon Sajha Nilkantha, there are plenty of contributors to serve you discussions worth reading.
No hard feelings Rasta, Just spilling out what I feel.

Him rastaman is very nice and good. Him neva harmed no one. Why dont them peopal read da disclaimer. Him Rasta told no one to read him writings.

Everybody has a right to their opinion whether someone believes or not. To some extend, Rasta may be expressing the problems in our society. If that is true, let him do that. Sajha visitors can ignore him if they dont like. But Rasta has a right to express his opinion.

IGNORE?? ya lets ignore. Lets ignore Rastaman. But what do you ignore?? His postings or the threads he writes in?? Every other postings of other Sajhaites here is followed by Rastaman's Postings, you can't go on ignoring all the postings. The next best thing, ignore the threads he writes in. So ultimately you will go on ignoring most of the threads here in Sajha, and what do you come for then?? Reading two or three good threads where Rastaman doesn't write?? Bullshit!
So come from back or front, you are compelled to read his postings. Its very easy to say ignore but whenever I come to Sajha, I want to stay there for a while and take time to read all, well most of the threads and as many postings as I can and not get irritated everytime I come to Sajha, which was for a long time, the best cyber hangout for me.

As far as Rastaman is concerned, I used to be annoyed, like suva chintak says, I find it pretty hilarious now, and the people are getting so pissed off..i wonder how much fun Rastaman is having....eheh......

Every taam dem peopal hate I. Why? I seen so many same person on every thread. Them peopal of yours not complaining to them peopal. Because them saying or expressing what them wants to hear. I is just tellin da truth. As I and I have said please let I know even a single word of untruthfulness I have said and I will write no mo. Rasta keeps his promise and Rasta is not like them peopal who deceieve I and I . Them peopal deceieve I and I time and time again. If you dont believe I ask my Korean Masta. Him trust Rastas truthfulness with his life, soul and body of him wife. Ask him.

I can't imagine anyone speaking ill of you, no worries.
N rasta is one sly and wicked son of a gun, if you learn to ignore his you-know-what. Excellent tactics, very theatrical too. Plus, for all his claims of working in some Korean owned who knows what, the seems to have unbelievable amounts of free time to dabble on the internet. He's managed to stir this place up good n proper, and, I suspect, he's never had this much of a good time before. Like a cat among the pigeons, or so he imagines.
About his right to speak, he has every right to do so, especially on some one else's server. Defacing public property with sloganeering is considered in bad taste, but it is a test of the limits of free speech. Some just want to test those limits. And press buttons.
A great many here are either actively engaged in, or the search thereof, working at solutions to problems they see in Nepal. However, all have been labelled as being elitist, and part of the exploiters, and the creators of rasta. How ironic.
So fellow exploiters, lets give up the use of all technology in our collective guilt. Perhaps even consider doing an Iran. Instead of a theocracy, lets have an Idiot-crazy and hark back to the times of a 100% agricultural society, boot out all foreigners (whoever they may be), seal the borders, blow up all hyrdo-electric plants, live by lamplight and voila..je vous presente..Shangrila !!!
Oh yes, we can always invite (by pigeon mail) Kim Jong Il as our top consultant, given his ability to swing the White House at his whim, the biggest exploiter of them all !! Whaddya say fellers ?

Czar why them you is callin bad bad words. I neva called no one no bad name. Why them you is only thinkin you is right and you is sayin always intelligent things. As I and I alread tol you peopal. Give one instance where I not tell da truth. Or one instance where I say dem bad words like you and them sayin to I ? You want I to leave? If you peopal cut I off everytime . Why dere is no justice in dis world? Rasta please tell I. YOur Korean mastah let you use his nice computer. My Indi mastah get angry when I use his computah to come to Sajha. Your mastah not bother you, only come fo five minutes. Indie mastah laways breathing down my neck...do dis, do dat ..."Bahadur, tereko kitnebar bolna padtha hai" and all this kind of bullshit.
Your mastah trusts you wid his wife's Seoul and Body...dat is a nice man. Rasta, I also want to work for Korean Masta. Why, dis India mastah not even trust with his daughta, forget about his wife! He neveh let us be together in da room.
So if I not have a little girl to teach me dem wisdom like you had when you were 11 yrs and 7 monts, how can I & I spread the rasta love around like you did broda, from LA studio to Naga hills, wid something to spare in Korea too! Broda, I feelin down today, how will I eveh get dat wisdom and dem truth without da nice little guru of love?
