Hey does anyone know that Jim Morrison has put some nepali verses in his band's (The Doors) song "Road House Blues?" I just found that out even though I am not totally sure of it. It is somewhere in the middle, around 2 min 10 seconds, when he starts to say something nepali words like "ganja" in the song.

Well, you guys try listening to it and let me know if I am right.

Haven't really inspected every word of the song, but you can't say "ganja" is a Nepali or an Indian word anymore. It has already been incorportated into English vocabulary.

gan·ja
NOUN: Marijuana, especially a highly resinous form of marijuana prepared from the flowering tops and leaves of selected plants and usually ingested by smoking .

ETYMOLOGY: Hindi gjh, hemp resin, from Sanskrit gñjy-, of hemp, from gañja, hemp, perhaps alteration of gñja, a type of plant.

Talking about ganja, Bob Marley ko geet ho kyare hoina "Legalize it" bhanne? It also has the words something like "some call it marijuana some call it ganja" the word "ganja" is pronounced in more of a Hindi accent in that song.

But he does not only seem to have said "ganja" but an entire sentence in nepali with an english accent.

Hey toilet paper,

This debate has been going on for a very long time. One can only guess if he meant to actually use nepali words, but it does sound very much like it. This is what he says, (or people think he says)

"khaun khaun ganja..ganja khae pachi ichha purna huncha ...ooooo right"

There is another group who claim it means something (god knows what) in native American language.

Hey Vision, that's what I exactly thought he said too but I just wasn't sure. I didn't know that this has been debated. Thanks man for the info.

My personal belief, he did say something in Native language and its just a coincidence it happens to sound like Nepali. Morrison was a trip!

i have couple of live versions of road house blues where also he just blurts out words. doesn't sound like it is any kind of language. even the lyrics says 'a series of casual words' in that part.

Artist/Band: doors
title: road house blues
Album: morrison hotel

Ah keep your eyes on the road your hands upon the wheel
Ah keep your eyes on the road your hands upon the wheel
Yeah we're goin' to the road house gonna have a real
Good time.

Yeah in back of the road house they got some bungalows
Yeah in back of the road house they got some bungalows
And that's for the people who like to go down slow
Let it roll baby roll
Let it roll baby roll
Let it roll baby roll
Let it roll
All night long.

(a series of casual words)

Ashen lady
Ashen lady
Give up your vows
Give up your vows
Save our city
Save our city
Right now
When I woke up this mornin' I got myself a beer
When I woke up this mornin' I got myself a beer
The future is uncertain and the end is always near
Let it roll baby roll
Let it roll baby roll
Let it roll baby roll
Let it roll
All night long.
