Comrade Prachanda doesn't buy official version , like a lot of us. In his reaction to the royal massacre, Prachanda also termed the king a 'patriot' and a 'liberal'.It is clear that Comrade Prachanda ,like a lot of other communist leaders, was impressed by the King. For a lot of us, who really doesn't know how powerful Comrade Prachanda has become in these days, an information my friend sent from Chitwan. Chitwan is virtually in the control of Maoists.Police don't come out of police post, and alcohol, as per the Maoists policy, is no longer in market. Playing card is prohibited.Maoists cadres are in the towns. They are mostly villagers, but are very powerful. "No wonder," One of my friends replied, "if they capture Chitwan some day very soon."
