So, looks like the date and place has been finalized for the convention. The website looks great and Denver sounds wonderful! So who is planning to be there and is there going to be a Sajha event? What are some cool things to do in and around Denver for the folks who come and decide to stay longer?

How about a sajha gathering??? Everyone holding their NICKNAME batch. We can ROCK the bar, and paint the town red re kyaa ajha!!! My only wish, hope the girl I saw last year, will be there -- with her blue jeans, blue shirt and jhallar-maller holding her pants. Her ponytail and her dark skin, I was almost in a verse of praising her right in front of her... This tyaam, i muster up all the courage, Lactogene doodh ko kasam, go right in front of her and take a close look re kyaa ajha laast ma!!! Naani ko ke ho ni naam ani ghar kaa ho!! naani lai dekhera mero dil puncture bho!! Might see you there Rekha jyu and SURYA jyu!! Scan for a guy with K-mart brand shorts, Lotto-shirt, k-mart long socks, and k-mart tennis-shoes and oldnavy hat I bought from the Salvation Army, ani Target chasma. I'll be holding my nick name tag >> Hi!!me PP!! :)

I totally agree with you PP ji, we should all get together. It sounds like so much fun and seeing each other will be cool. I'll be helping out with Cultural Program and Entertainment so it'll be easy for anyone to track me down. Looking forward to see you in Denver PP ji.

Random suggestions: A trip to the stupa--supposedly the world's largest (!)--in Red Feather Lakes. It's modeled exactly on a stupa in Bhutan. It would be 2-3 hours north of Denver, but gorgeous scenery and camping all around. BYOT (bring your own tent). Also: Rafting ... fun for the whole family. Or ... A Breathing Contest. See whose lungs still function after X years in the States. (Colorado residents excluded.) Denver is at the same altitude as KTM--about a mile high--but I've heard it takes only 6 months to lose acclimitization. (Ditto, btw, for immunities.) Lowlanders can compete to see who huffs and puffs the most on their way to the bar :-)

Hey Rekha, looks like we both share a common hometown...have you checked out the rmfn local nepali homesite. check it out and see if you like any of the ideas posted on the thread for local activity. For the rest...Colorado is a paradise for outdoor activity lovers. The nightlife is beginning to pick up but still slow compared to the West and East coast. The venue of the convention is located a little far from downtown for all who want to drink and drive on Sat night after the bar (and they close at 2 except for a few like the Gothic theatre) So make sure you bring along a designated driver. All the party animals we'll see you there and Mr. PP you might be interested in the rmfn site as well... check out the thread for nepali Mr/Miss Bachelor Bachelorette. They have been getting quite a few interested local hits...maybe your dreams can come true ;) See all then... whether you come in an Armani suit or a Kmart short... just make sure to put on your best party mood and everything will be A Okay.

ANA are bunch of sour grapes.. old folks yaking themselves to death about how they are going to improve Nepal..But have they really done something ?? really ..that is still yet to be seen. Just for the sake of making it look like they are doing something is not really working is it ? What has ANA done to make Nepal a better place ? C'mon somebody tell me. This whole gathering is just a poor excuse to drink and get drunk for ANA PEOPLE...nothing more..Just by staying here and yaking is not going to help Nepal. I would rather not par take in these flaky functions or give $$ to feed their big fat yellow belly
