bend the iron while it's hot! throw monarchy system out, write a new constitution and have people rule the country. we don't need another vishnu's avatar. we had it! we've seen 230 yrs. nothing has changed and never will be, as well long we've an old fashion constitution which saves king and other royal families ass. neither gyanendra nor paras were trained to be the king. One known as the mafia boss and another the killer prince. it's a shame, if we let them be the king and the crown prince, just beacuse it's written on our constitution. there are many countries around world without the king; there are many countries who re-wrote the constitution when needed. why can our country be one of them? by the way, i'm not a moa! i'm among one of those nepali who believe in a multi party system - democracy, and would like to see a mr. ram bd. sunwar from sindupalchok ward no. 4 become a first president of nepal.

My candidate for Vishnu's new avatar: All 23 million people of Nepal. It's time for the spirit of Vishnu to reside in the hearts of all Nepali people. And remember ... Vishnu is a preserver. That means it's time to do the hard work of making a nation, and not just bandhs and back-biting. Nepali, I like your candidate for president. I hope it happens someday. And someday soon.

Helllloww, where have you been? This is not what the so-called revolution did in 90-91? Take away the absolute power from the king? Did not the Nepali citizen want demorcarcy and they got it with the announcement from the late king birendra? That he gives the power to the citizen of nepal and he will be happy to be a constitutional monarch? That was nearly 11 years ago. What in the world is this talk about wanting a democracy? We have it, for god’s sake! Just stop looking at the palace for every answer you seek. Yes, I am bereaved. A tragedy is a tragedy is a tragedy. A son did take away the life of his parents and almost all of his clan. It could have been tragic even if this did not take place in a palace. Let’s not forget in our grief that the late king birendra was a puppet of a ruler. If we are to believe the rumour (yo hallai hallako desh, who wrote that??) Aishworya ruled. Before the pro democracy movement king Birendra did have all the power but apparently did not have the guts or vision where he wanted to take his country. This – whole chaos- is a result of his ineptitude as a ruler. He could have been a very “nice” person, but as a king he failed. When something of this magnitude happens we look for an answer and we look for heroes and villains. And, presto! We have them. The dead is always a hero and Paras is the archetypical villain, maybe rightly so. Now, If we believe in our constitution (post 91) then whoever becomes a king that should not matter. After all, isn’t he going to be just a constitutional monarch? Let’s try to implement what is in our constitution. The answer is not to keep on making new rules but to see it (the rule) is followed. 23 million people ARE the candidate. Nepali People DO chose their candidates. Tell me what has been the result so far? Just look around, will you? This is an absurd world. This is all I have to say for now.
