When I was in Nepal I read an article about her in a new Women's magazine that is now being published in Kathmandu. The story is that Kiran's Dad is Nepali and Mom is a caucasian American. She grew up in teh DC metro area. She went to Univ of Maryland. She spent time in Nepal with family during holidays and vacations. I didn't get the impression that she spent too much time there, but it did seem like she has fond memories and some community connection to Nepal through her Dad's side and family there. And now she is married... I think to a fellow journalist or some sort of TV guy. Hope this is interesting. It sure was to me. Of yeah, she is around 28 I think. I am not sure. She is very pretty, accomplished and obviously not just a pretty face from the way she is advancing. It is really great to see her do well... a person of Nepali descent making it in America and being really popular. If you do a search on her in google you will see how popular she is. Of course there are creeps who seem to follow her every move, but there are also fan sites that just celebrate her accomplishments and beauty.

thanx suva chintak and surya. i asked for personal history and i got some professional background(that of course i knew )..aneeways thanx once more. I would love to meet that lady. Just wanna know how much she has contributed to development of nepali society in Nepal as well as over here, even though i don't expect her to have done it nor do i expect other nepalese to do it; but curiosity is a strange thing. We already have two Nepali women -Kiran Chetry( even though Half nepali ) and Sudha Shah, who have made tremendous progress in the American Society. Are there any such nepali men as well? Am not trying to be sexist? Just want to know some facts about successful Nepali Americans. thanx till laters peace and jai nepal
