Cheetara Ji, "take you hands off me" is the last thing any man would wanna hear from a woman. I would have left you alone right there. Obviously, the man you ran into was just way to nice (or a complete moron).
Besides, I don't see any reason why you had to refuse for a slow dance? I was once told, "never miss an opportunity for a slow dance." Now I don't see why that can't go for a woman.
Come a little closer sirata ji....dance a little (I won't ask for you phone#)

“Please take your hand off me” did not sound that harsh to me. If I were that guy I would understand it perfectly for coming from a just introduced stranger in a reluctant first dance. And from what followed, I would remember that as one helluva evening- an unexpected encounter with a lady of a great sense of fun and reservation at the same time. I would enjoy every moment of it.
Chitara, what can I say ? You are one helluva writer. Beautiful narration, confident details and very comfortable never broken thread of a wicked humor all along. Enjoyed every bit of it. Thank you, hajur.
