If you have purchased the calling card using a credit card please let the credit card company know and that you are being cheated. They will credit your account. This type of fraud activity must be reported to Better Business Bureau. Please call Better Business Bureau and let them know about the scam and that you have been cheated. Unfortunately lawer cannot do anything for fraud that happens outside of US. This is an example of how fradulant businesses are being setup to cheat Nepalis living abord. Beware. |

Here are some interesting facts about this issue: www.phonenepal.com is NOT an actual Telephone Card business but merely an affiliate. This is how it works: The company called Speedypin.com is the main business that is selling the cards. The person who owns the domain name phonenepal.com simply signed up to become an AFFILIATE for Speedypin.com What this means is that Speedypin.com assigns this person an ID, which is tied to anyone who visits www.phonenepal.com. So when you are visiting phonenepal.com you are essentially visiting http://speedypin.com/phonecard/start.html?aff=2706 If you purchase anything there then SPEEDYPIN does all the transactions and sells you their card. The only way phonenepal's owner profit from it is the commission he/she earns on all sales that arise from the URL with affiliate number 2706 attached to it like above. Which could be upto 10% of sale. Hence, if anyone is to blame it's SPEEDYPIN.COM who are selling fraudulent cards ie. giving less minutes than advertised. |

Nhuchche, It is none of my concern to know how the operator profits or how the parent comapny profits. I am only concerned that many people are cheated out of this website. Any fradulent activities should be reported and all those involved should be punished, including the operator. The operator is part of the scam and should not be spared. |

Guys, FYI, if you wanna call Nepal Target Departmental store has the best card. $10 card can give you about 60 minutes, anywhere in Nepal. Krogers departmental store also has similar card, cheap and best. You can add value thru the phone. Thus, you don't need to make another trip to the store. Isn't that great? I bet it is. So, my suggestion to you guys is - don't waste your time and money on these sites. When it comes to doing business friends and people u know are the once who rip you up the most. -Takura |

Tick seems to be really pissed with phonenepal.com If I were you, I would be too. After all they seemingly ate up my hard earned money. I am not accusing you Tick of anything but asking a rhetorical question. Are we are Nepalis more unforgiving to other Nepalis? If you had bought this card from some other site and it didn't work, would you report them to business beaureus? I think we Nepalis need to show some unity here. Why are we so bent on getting this gentleman arrested who it seems like is trying to start a business. Also in looking at Nhuche's observations, this seems like the company speedypin is more at fault than anyone else. The transaction takes place at speedypin site so they should be the one held responsible, not the affiliate. As long as Tick did not pay phonenepal.com directly, phonenepal.com is not liable for any damage. Phreak Out Peace Out |

phreak_out, If you are a spokes person the phonenepal.com I will not spare you as well :-) Hope this is not the case. Please do not take me as an example and apply that to all Nepalis. I am not all Nepalis and all Nepalis are not me. I do not spare anyone that cheats me, at least I do my best so that it does not happen to anyone else. To tell you the truth I have not been openly cheated. I bought a card for 91 minutes and was able to use it for 41 minutes. If you do not call that cheating, what would? As far as I am concerned the site I bought the card through is responsible for the damage. >phonenepal is not liable for any damage Sounds like as if you are the official spokesperson for the site. If you are, we will see who is liable for the damage. Neither you nor I will decide who is responsible for damage. |

Tick i'm no spokesperson for that site. I just don't want you to look foolish when the counsel asks you which site you bought the card at. > As far as I am concerned the site I bought the card through is responsible for the damage. If you look closely the site you bought the card is speedypin.com Go to the site and right click on the page and click on PROPERTIES. Then see what ADDRESS that page shows. It shows speedypin.com! If someone puts EBAY in a frame in thier site, they are not responsible for the business done by ebay. It comes down to the same thing. Pretty much. Sorry to bring this to your notice but you don't have anything against phonenepal. And contrary to what you think I am in no way involved with phonenepal. Just wanted to inform you about the reality of this situation. |

phreak_out, I am aware of how I made the purchase. It does not take a whole lot to decieve. I have enough evidance against the site. Doing business with Ebay is a different story. I know how it works. There are safeguards against fraud in Ebay. If you do not know fraud is a felony comes with jail time. Even tough you disagree your attachment with the alleged site, your comments make me go HUMMMM, are you who you say you are?? Dosen't matter though. Nice chatting with you. If you take my advice stay away from that site. If you are one of them, may god have mercy on you! |

Hey guys, Yes, the card is available at any TARGET or KROGER store. You first have to go to the store physically and buy the card. Afterwards, you can add value via phone and purchase more air time. Speaking of connection charge, there is none and it also doesn't lower the minutes even you are not using it. As far as I know, people from Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, and Ohio are using that card. I personally think that it's the best card I have ever used. If you don't have TARGET STORE in your city or state, you may have KROGER STORE. You can go to Kroger and buy an MCI card. It's pretty much the same. Hope this info helps. -Takura |
