have u guys heard the songs from mukti and revival's new album called "bujai deoo". "ma sangai roiee bascha" is a nice song and so is "meri mayalu". and there are couple other nice songs."kati kura garchu vani" has nice music. the "shiva anthem" is amazing. and that newari song, though i do not understand, is nice too.

the words are nice. sounds like narayan gopal, deepak kharel, deep shrestha type of lyrics with different kind of music. it;s a must buy cd. would like to hear from those who have heard the songs.

I haven't got hold of their new CD ,my younger brother is bringin that for me this month and i am lookin forward to hearing them.Mukti N Revival is one amazin band,Mukti Shakya is a veteran in nepali music scene himself and Revival ,they were known as Newaz before and they are the pioneer of nepali metal music, but now they are inclined more towards blues, rock based blues to be precise.Their first album "kalanki ko jam" is musically brillant, there is no band in Nepal that can play this sort of music with that perfection,it is just one hell of an album. The guyz are musically and technically brillant but as we know Nepal is a place where melodies sell, where sambhujit's shit filmi songs break records so The first album was well received but it didn't catch the mass, but it did reach to the people whom the band wanted it to reach. They are a great band capable of playing alongside any band in the world and the best part is they do have a lot of nepali touch in their music, not just the language the soul of their music is Nepali. Here is this wishing this awesome band a great future.Cheers

i agree with everything u say devil. nepali movie songs just suck, most of them. sambhujit baskota puts out so many crappy songs. pesonally i find 1974 AD to be the best. Nepathaya is right up there with Revival and AD. i give more crdit to the bands and solo artists who put out their own stuff. so enjoy the cd once u get it devil. u will like it.

anyone else who has heard the songs form thier new cd?

Jhapali, I haven't heard any of their songs. Personally, I like Nepathya because their music echos Nepali folk, which I absolutely adore. However, I am aware of your reputation as the connoiseur of Nepali dhun. Therefore, I might afford Mukhti and revival a listen. By the by, rato bhale and pilandari devi say hi.

hijo ko challa. i will let u listen to those songs next time i talk to u. u see, i used to listen to just narayan gopal and the likes and the old folk songs. actually, i used despise Revival and the people who played a different kind of music. at least different than NG and all beacuse i used to think that they were giving nepali music a bad name. but that has changed in the last couple of years. as we evolve, so do music and style. so i listen to both the new and the old stuff. and much love to both rato vale and plandari.
