North Korea has warned the US of a pre-emptive strike if the US keeps building up it's base in the Korean Peninsula. At a time like this one wonders who is right and what is the right thing to do. Is the US right in spreading it's arm for world security? Is N. Korea right in building up it's Nuclear arsenal? From N. Korean point of view, if the US can have weapons of mass destructions why can't they? The US argues that N. Korea can use it's weapon of mass destruction to create unrest to it's neighbors and attack other countries. The same argument holds for Iraq as well. How does one define weapons of mass destruction? How many needs to be killed by a weapon to be defined as a weapon of mass destruction? If an army kills thousands of enemies, can we call the army as the weapon of mass destruction? The question today facing us is not whether the US is right or N. Korea is right. The question that we need to answer today is what is right for the World. No matter how powerful the US is, or no matter how adamant Saddam and N. Korea is, the value of the United Nation needs to be respected, if we are to remain a global family. Living in the US, how safe does one feel in today's day and age? Intercontinental politics resembles stone age at it's best. Everyone trying to show who's the strongest. The world will be a better place to live once we human being get rid of our animal instinct to show off to others how good we/our group is, and focus on what is good for everyone. After all we live as different families in one apartment building. If you bomb one family living in one apartment, you will be cracking the foundation of the very building you're living in. How smart is that?
