Kasparov vs Deep junior

Todays game was pretty exciting. I thought, kasparov had a clear advantage on move 25, 26 and 27 and thought he would win until deep junior offered a draw and Kasparov accepted. Any thoughts?

Very interesting game. Thanks for the link SMSainju. I don't watch Chess that often but I certainly do enjoy playing it. Sad thing, nobody here knows how to play the game and that makes it, me myself trying to enjoy. But you know, I make the move of a black, I make the move of a wihite, certainly is boring.

GrandMaster Gary Kasparov, is he still no.1?? Coz I thought Anand had stole the title from him a year ago, and before that it was a stalemate.

When I was in Nepal about 4 years back, I watched them go after each other and it was fascinating encounter. I think it was 10-9 to Anand, but it was anybody's game and I supoose it was Anand's day that time.

Hi Krishna ji,

Kasparov has never lost a title to anyone since he took it from Karpov in 1985. But he lost to one of his own pupils (Kramnik) in 2000 in London. Kramnik is the #1 right now.

Yesterday's match was incredible. He clearly had an advantage but I don't know why he thought draw was a better choice. In the press conf, he acknoledged that he was more likely to make mistakes than his counter part Deep junior had he not accepted the draw offer.

But over all, all the six games between Kasparov and Deep Junior was exhilarating...

SMji,

I didn't see the game, but I read somewhere people booed Kasparov for accepting the draw. Also is Kramnik #1 now? I believe Kasparov is still #1 in FEDE (?) ranking.
