All this ruckus about the "constitutionality" of the current investigative panel set up by Gyanendra is unwarranted.

Hell, for all I care, I or any other citizen, can come up and declare that I am forming a panel for investigation. That shouldn't stop the current government (under the timid Girija-scared-of-the-loss-of-his-leadership's helm) from supporting (or not) the panel that has been formed.

So, the point is this: a panel was formed (or rather, suggested) by Gyanenndra. The immediate consequences of this then lied with the government in either endorsing the panel fully, endorsing that panel with reservations, or FORMING another panel altogether. That's when this panel thing would have been official and constitutional. NOT just because Gyanendra suggested it. Official panels are not formed just because people go out proclaiming them. The blame here lies squarely with Girija and his government.

What does constitutionality have anything to do with this? I'm getting more and more frustrated that people in our government ineptitude in leadership and decision making.

Yeah. Maybe Paras would make a great king. He's got the leadership style exactly right. He either (a) conspired, or (b) was a coward. Either way he's just out for his own skin and maybe his family's.

The government should have taken controll over the whole situation. Instead, they submissively waited for the directives from Gyanendra.
The elected government is treating G as an absolute monarch.
We need the government to speak for the people at difficult times, not to slip away from taking responsibilities.

You are absolutely right. I just hope the people of Nepal realize this. Nepal will never be a true democracy until a Democratic government truly takes control with the peoples' best interest in mind. A government where one man is above the law is not a government for the people!

I would not be surprised when Girija (shit another G)goes to the RP (Royal Palace) and bintis the king G and says " Sarkar, hami ma rajya sanchalan garne chyamata bhayena, hami sabai rajneta lai Sundarijal jelama chalan gari rajya sanchalan ko abhibhara firta liyee baksiyosh".
"Sarkar ko jo hukum". Then GP lays flat on the foot of King G.
