Just wondering if you know any nepalese in Miami, Fl.
There are only few of them here. I know around 10-15.
Great weather right now--so make some plan for the spring break...
Don't try to come in summer..Its very hot in summer.
Winter is perfect here....

I will be in the area (west palm beach, to be precise) in mid-April for about a week. Planning on spending a day or two in miami. Any pointers as to what the must-see sights are in your city? I'm not the museum type, though. Any tips will be greatly appreciated.

West Palm beach is about 45-50 minutes north of Miami.
There are many Nepalese in W.P. Beach.
It gets reduced as it approaches Miami.
Miami is laid back. Environment is like Nepal(residential areas)...
If you like beaches/ocean---
Then you should go to
Sunny Isles Beach
Biscyane Bay
Hollywood Beach(about 20-30 minutes from Miami)
And of course the famous South Beach/Ocean Drive.--
Other places--
Coco Walk/Coconut grove---there are some nice cuban resturants and bars.
Bicyane Blvd ---Some cruise ships/sight seeing/shops--its a cool place
Miami Seaquarium
Night Life(south beach is also famous for gays/lesbian)
If you are into clubs and bars then there are plenty of them...
Club level
Space
mango on Ocean Drive
Rumi
Club 609
Nikki Beach
Café Nostalgia
And you should also try Cuban food.
Key West is not far--about 3-4 hrs--Its cool there too.
But if you don't have time to go there then you can go to Key Largo.
Since you will be in W.P beach then you should also go to Los Olas in Ft. Lauderdale--Its a nice beach. Like it better than the S.Beach.
It doesn't stop here--there is more...

thanks for the tips.....will definitely check out some of the places u mentioned. About key west...i've wanted to go there for a long time now and its right at the top of my list. U know of any cheap hotels in the area?
Very generous of u to offer to show me around. I might just take u up on it.

Here's how my trip to Miami went
day1. South Beach...it was awesome
day2. South Beach...it was still awesome
day3. downtown totally sucked, so did little havana...ended up in south beach at night, it was awesome
day4. Key largo..ahh it was ok .didn't see a damn thing there...ended up in South beach, it was awesome
day5 Hung around in south Miami, san marco island and else where in Miami suburb...boring boring ...ended up in south beach, it was awesome
Day6. went straight to south Beach, it was awesome
Now I only spent about a week in Miami, my impresson...other than south beach, there is NOTHING in Miami. But hey that's me

Well Vision,
It seems that you didn't see much of Miami then...
There are more beautiful places other than South Beach.
Biscyane is one of them.
You will enjoy Miami if you love beaches.
There are more beautiful beaches than South beach in Miami area/South Florida.

p.s. Key West is better than Key Largo.
