............

I say to you today, my friends, that in spite of the difficulties and frustrations of the moment, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.

I have a dream that one day Nepal will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all Nepalese are created equal."

I have a dream that one day in Kailali the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slaveowners will be able to sit down together at a table of brotherhood.

I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight, and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together.

I have a dream today.

Let freedom ring from the snowcapped hills of Phulchowki!

Let freedom ring from the curvaceous peaks of Himalayas!

But not only that; let freedom ring from the plane plains of the Terai!

Let freedom ring from poor villages of Dolpa!

When we let freedom ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every distrcit and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children, good men and bad men, Hindus and Muslims, Buddhists and Christians, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Nepali spiritual, "Free at last! free at last! thank God Almighty, we are free at last!"

(with all due respect to Mr. Martin Luther King Jr.)

(sorry to everyone if this was in-appropriate and does any harm to the original speech. All the words are those of MLK Jr. I have only put the Nepalese stuffs in between.)

That's what we lack...the originality!.....the most revered Man on the earth made this speech for the cause of equality. But someone posted here a corrupted version of his speech! Pathetic!! Grow up and post your own version, that will thousand times weightier in nepali context than MLK's speech if you are truly inspired by the spirit of His Vision.

I still like it. I don't think there was an attempt to claim the originality.
I however hope that nobody assasinates mickthesick now.
Good one, keep it up.

biratnagare......well talking about originality...i have not claimed that whatever i have posted here is original.....and also i have mentioned clearly that this is not my speech and that it belongs to MLK Jr. ....i only have inserted Nepali terms and names in between...therefore i don't think you can argue with me on the basis of originality.

by the way.......appreciating MLK Jr. is one of the good things i have ever done in my life.....appreciating him and following his instructions are so enough for me that i don't have to come up with anything original to challenge his "i have a dream" speech....and this doesn't mean i am never going to try to be original....what i mean is "IT WILL TAKE ME QUITE A FEW DECADES OF TIME" to come up with something like MLK's speech.

anyways....i did welcome your comments..

DWI....thanks for the support..
