Marie, if you really are not a Nepali then first thing first, change your Handle (Muzie). Somebody suggested a bad name for you. I like Vision's idea. If you join Universities they might fund you sometimes, Peace Corps is the best shot.

Maria, Thank you for your interest in Nepal. As you are heading there to teach English, you must already have a school sponsoring your work visa, without which you will be unable to work in Nepal. What is not clear is the duration of your visit to Nepal. While your interest in the refugee issue is commendable, a short summary of your trip's stated objectives may lend clarity to interested parties. They would need to evaluate the benefit to the host country and/or sponsoring organization prior to them reaching for their check books. Good luck!

TO Czar: Hello Thank you for the kind message, the only one of the kind I received as an answer. I would give a summary of my reserach which was not possible on the posting site. I am going to spend three months and a half in Nepal this summer, two montsh teaching english in Ghachok, inthe vicinity of POkhara and then the remainder of the time I shall be travelling (hopefully) to camps. I know there are Tibetan refugees in POkhara so I shall talk to them even before that but the Bhutanese ones I have to find myself. This will be a part of the Masters Thesis and later on my dissertation let me know if you would like to know something more Maria

Well, I am not Nepali but Bulgarian and if you want to know what the heck muzie is, that is the nickname for Maria (my first name) in Bulgarian. I do not speak nepali so I have no idea if that is a bad word but anyway, you do not have to be as direct and rude about it. I will change the name if it bothers people so much, but as you do not speak BUlgarian, I suppose you could not have known that this is my name. Best Maria

Slancho, About your second posting; I think u're just making a big deal about it. I drew that you are a foreigner and you might have asked some Nepali friends of yours for a Nepali kinda name as a handle. I was merely suggesting that your friend suggested a bad handle for you. I didn't knew it was your Bulgarian name. Its surprising how you took a helpful thread as such a negative posting.
