To all the cricket fanatics out there.... as you probably know that world cup cricket tournament is currently being played out in South Africa and on March 1st one of the most anticipated match up between India and Paksitan is going to be played out. These two teams have a history of stern rivalry against each other.... my question goes out to whoever reads this.. who do you think is going to win the match on March 1st? keep in mind that India has a history of winning, world cup tournament, matches against Pakistan in previous tounaments. So again in your opinion who do u think is going to win? Pizzah

Indias is going to get their asses kicked by Pakis. What a dissapointing performance by English players. Sad to know that India made it to super six. I was expecting them to lose badly and then go home and get hit my sandels and rotten tomatoes.

For Pakistan it is a must win situation. For Indian's it is probably a relax bit of affair although I am pretty sure no match is relaxed when India take on Pakistan. I agree with Oys there, most of the matches won in this tournament are teams batting first. Toss is all important. I am darn sure, if any captain wins the toss, they will bat first. Because hardly we have seen any team batting second to claim victory except ofcourse that NZ match against SA and some underdog's matches. For I wouldn't just bet in right now. But you never know in cricket. Any team batting first and scoring an excess of 250 will have a fantastic chance to win because one or two early wickets and the opposition is in instant pressure to maintain run rates and not lose any further wickets. It has to be a hurculean effort from the opposition batting second to chase 250+ or decent run on board. Although Pakistan have a better chance of winning then India if Pakistan post an excess of 200 because of the bowling line up they have. I remember Pakistan played Australia at Adelaide in the 2000 B and H. Batting first they only scored 135 and bowled out Australia for lesser score. Shows how much bowling potential they have. The likes of beating Aus at home is very minimal and Pakis have done that quite few times. But that is not always the case and that one was 2 years back. Lot has changed since then but I can tell that Mr. Akram claiming his 500th scalp just a couple of days back is roaring is add to his tally. Shoaib Akhtar will fancy his chances early off when the wickets bounce and probably think about his dismisal to Sachin and Dravid in successive balls when he uprooted the stumps such world class players playing at home in two world calss yorkers that even Mr. Tendulkar could sit and smile of what had hapenned was a tremendous fast bowler running off like a tiger and bowling an inswinging yorker, right at the toe, unplayable for even the best of the best. Although going by the history, India have claimed all three victories against Pakistan since 92 World Cup. But it is going to be quite an affair and millions of fans and viewers will be witnessing two dangerous rivals in World Cricket today going after one another, like a boxing match, blow after blow, century after century. I would love to see Inzy get a hundred and Youhana thrash the ball all over. Good Luck Pakistan.

Quoting a news report from S Africa. _Hard-hitting opener Shahid Afridi has made only seven runs so far and taken two wickets with his leg-breaks. The test of the batting has been so ineffective that number 11 Shoaib Akhtar tops the team’s averages at 72 following his spectacular 43 against England. Wasim’s 12 wickets in the tournament makes him the joint leader with Sri Lanka’s Chaminda Vaas, while Shoaib has 10 wickets._ That said, Pakistan has fared badly only against Australia (but who hasn't?), and England beat them bad in a day-night match. But then England themselves were beaten bad by India when they batted second in a daynight match. So let's wait and see. Personally, I am happy that India are almost into the Super Six. But I would like to see more teams from the Subcontinent. Sri Lanka and Pakistan, though the latter, as krishna says, is now in a mustwin situation. I would be happy if the Cup goes to anyone - as long as it is not the Aussies. Come on, it's getting too monotonous.

Well so far it seems like Aussies are going to win the tournament.... looking at the teams from sub continent you can say that they have no consistency....India have better batsmen whereas Pakistan have better bowlers Sri Lankans are an unpredictible team...well u can say that every team from the sub continent are unpredictible... if you look at the Australian team they are a well balanced and are well capable of winning the cup.... but i hope that India wins the match against Pakis...that'd be more than winning the world cup itself. Aussies are hot!!! No stop sign, no speed limit. And india Vs pakistan! You cant expect your bowler to win for you everytime. I sense pakistan team having tough time returning home, atleast not india unless some miracle happens. Not in the surer six and you come up with loss with soooo hated rival. Thats gonna be so bad for pakistan. Anyway whatever the scenerio be, Its gonna be hell of a fun when this (selfcalled!!!) batting powerhouse and bowling power house meet. enjoy

India vs. Pakistan is bailing out to be quite an encounter. After Mr. Akhtar made those daunting comments towards Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid, the match has taken its hot turmoil at the right time. He remembers that moment when he silenced the Indian crowd at home with two unplayable deliveries and he also thinks that Indian batting is vulnerable towards sheer pace and accuracy then the Australians as right now Aussies are simple unstoppable. His figure speaks volumes against the Aussies as not quite so much against the Indians. First couple of overs of himself and Akram will be vital. If they can make a much needed early breakthrough then Indians don't have much fire power at the depth. The likes of captain Waqar, Saqlain and Razzak can have a go at them. But if no wicket falls till the first spell of either Wasim or Shoaib, I am pretty sure Indians will have a treat. I donot regard either Rahul Dravid or Kaif as the free-flowing one-day style batsman although I know Rahul have played some vital innings anchoring Indians to many a victories in his career but when looking at the figures, they have come in the sub-continent flat tracks and not much to show up overseas. Tendulkar is a master blaster wherever he goes. He is probably the only headache for Pakistan when it comes to blasting them all over. But donot forget Pakistan's batting. Saeed Anwar has scored very heavily against them (his 194, the higest one day total in an innings by any batsman coming against India, also has scored some vital tons against them) and so have Inzamam and Yousuf Youhana. Youhanga averages over 50 against them. I remember his last ball six for a maginificent ton at Sharjan two years back and also he is the batsman in form for Pakistan. He will have a very important role to play if Pakistan is to claim victory at Centurian Park for this much awaited showdown. Inzamam needs to show some sparkle or the otherwise free-flowing big man Inzy who is an abosolute class act, no doubt, will have to think about his career and a place in an every changing Pakistan line up. I personally think that Afridi should be sacked. He tries to hit every ball out of the park which cannot be done always in one-day. Throwing away wicket so easily can cost Pakistan dearly which Afridi is a master on. The batting should be tightened up bringing back Younis Khan who can anchor Pakistan's batting and can also thrash some huge ones over the boundary. Although India might slightly be favorite for this encounter going by their latest form, but you cannot count Pakistan out. They have always been the team to beat and even the likes of Aussies fear them more than any team in the world because of their unpredictability. Even Razzaq has whacked Glen McGrath to five straight boundaries at MCG. Shows how much talent they have. They have the talent, they just need to be consistent and perform at the highest level. Wasim has done that, so has Waqar, Youhana has shown lots of sparkle, Inzy has played some good innings in his career, so has Saeed Anwar. Can the rest do it?? For Sajha, Its Krishna!

Personally I like India to win this game. :) In DC area, Rajhdani Mandir at is showing this game in a big screen. Entrance is 5$ which is used for Mandir development.

If you are comparing india and pakistan with respect to aussies, i must say india has have better record against them(atleast at home). The only thing aussies fear, as they have admitted, is tendulkar. If you look at ind vs pak head to head, pak have won by far many times. But then again they have yet to win against india in the most important tournament. Forget comments about shoiab. If he gets smashed all over the places for his first few over, he is gonna forget his speed and come up with small run-up and throw some medium-pace(more like off spin) as he once did against new zealand when nathan astle smashed him all over the ground. What more can be fustrating to the fastest bowler than to get fustrated with his speed and start throwing slow ball with noticibly smaaaaall run up. And there's this new guy call shewag....plays well and is fast scorer. Afridi as his counter attack for pak, is fustrating in recent times. How long is he gonna rely on his across the line shot. And that aint a true cricketing shot either. But ironically, he has very good record against india and kumble. Anwar is potentailly the biggest threat for india and so is ganguly(I hate this guy) for pakistan. All in all, its worth spending all the nite watching what some people call it the game of fools watched by even more fools. chill out.

What a fabolous 101 from Saeed Anwar, just as I was saying he has scored heavily against the Indians, here he shows again with another major innings that could give Pakistan victory in this very crucial game for them. But Indian opener and master blaster Sachin Tendulkar has blazed his way to a breathtaking 86 not out of only 58 balls courtesy of 14 beautifully timed boundaries. Shoaib Akhtar was whacked all over by Tendulkar in his first 3 over spell costing him 35 runs. IS this another Prabhakar-Jayasuriya clash, one wonders. We all know what hapenned to Prabhakar when Jayasuriya blasted him out of the spell in two costly overs going for 18 an over and then he never returned to cricket scene again. Mohammad Kaif is supporting tendulkar well with a patient 31 and the partnership has full bloomed to Indian victory. As long as Tendulkar stays in the crease, I don't know how India are not going to win this. Tensions all over the ground for Pakistan supporters. Indian supporters are at the moment very happy with their teams' performance. Earlier Pakistan set India 274 to win with Anwar making his 20th one day hundred, second only to Tendulkar himself who has 34, is it?? Waqar Younis produced two beatiful deliveries to remove Virendar Shehwag and captain Ganguly gone first ball duck to counter India's earlier series of blasts run rate over 8 an over. And just as I write, Kaif is bold by Afridi for a very well made 34. So is this the turning point of this match??? But Pakistan desperately needs Tendulkar's wicket. All posed here at the Centiurian Park, South Africa. This is one-day cricket at its best and I am very happy to put forth some of my thoughts for this nail-biting encounter. I will get back again later to give my thoughts on victory to any of this powerful sub-continent side. For Sajha, Its Krishna reporting.

boi oh boi whatta match this is turning out to be.... To pakistans 273/7, with Anwars 101, india is running the field with sachin at near century and india at 155/3 with dravid at the crease as the new batsman after the fall of mohammad kaif who made a credible score of 35.... a great contribution...the match is not over yet with paki bowlers firing up those fast balls and india fighting back fiercely with sachin still hanging on there.... ....pizzah
