Hi all, After a riotously wild week-end that included: a) gazing for an hour at the navel of an Arabian belly-dancer (for cultural purposes, of course!) b) listening to some cool live jazz music, and c) hanging out at the Pashupati area until almost 2 am on Shiva's Big Night I am back at Sajha. ********** Differentlysane-ji, Thank you for your interest in my postings. I appreciate your words about me. But to tell you the truth, I get praises too easily and often (in Nepal and in Nepali communities, in particular), and, so, though, as a human being, I do like/adore/lust after praises, I -- quite honestly -- have also learnt not to get carried away by them. Please do not take this otherwise, hai. I say that because I really, actually hunger/yearn/pine for critical, merciless, no-holds-barred comments that actually ADD to my personal/intellectual/social growth -- so, please, while you are reading my stuff, don't be shy/afraid to give me critical comments . . . from time to time, on Sajha and beyond. I do NOT mind or hold grudges or sulk in some corner if other people add to/revise/modify and challenge what I have to say, as long as everyone maintains the basics of intellectual honesty, and as long we all benefit -- intellectually -- from ensuing ideas, thoughts and debates. I post on Sajha because I enjoy acquiring knowledge and shariing it with you all. You know, I once took a battery of personality tests, and found out that I am an ENTP (extrovert, intuitive, thinking and perceiving) type, and, I hope my postings give you the sense of the ENTP that I am. For more on ENTP profile, please visit: http://members.rogers.com/kushabi/ENTP.html (As an ENTP, I am lucky to be in the company of Christopher Columbus, Richard Feynman, Francis Ford Coppolla, Steve Jobs,Thomas Edison, Sir Winston Churchill and Alexander the Great! Check out the Web site above.) ******** Trikal-ji, I have been meaning to write to you. I have been following your famous threds for a long time now, while trying to muster courage to ask you a few things. For starters, my DOB is: Valentine Day or February 14 (English) and Shiva Ratri (Nepali) tithi). Yes, I do feel doubly blessed; and, no, I am NOT joking about these dates. This makes me, I suppose for better or worse, an Aquarian. For more on pivate emails to you. More later, everyone. Meantime, occasional idea-related conflicts notwithstanding, let's keep the guff-suff/kura-kani and friendlship alive and well on Sajha-- while increasing our collective knowledge about Nepal and the world we live in. oohi "entp man" ashu ktm, nepal
