Type in Roman and Get OutPut in UniCode Nepali :

An Example: (imaginary conversation)

RaaM : Ma TiMiiLaaIi DhheRai MaaYaa GaRChhuu . TiMii Ni?

SiiTaa : A Han.

RaaM : KaaLii KaLChounDdii, TiMii KiNa YaSTii NiSThuRi BhaNYaa?

-------------------------
The following text was output from the Java Applet that I wrote in JAVA2, where
you just do cut and paste of the Roman Text as shown above. No Editing. It can even handle the complex word like "KaaLii KaLChounDdii". Why not you try?.

Encoding: GyaTeX. KeyBoard: NePeX. 140

राम : म तिमीलाई धेरै माया गर्छू । तिमी नि?

सीता : अ हँ।

राम : काली कल्चौंडी, तिमी किन यस्ती निस्ठुरि भन्या?

Coming Soon. Only last part is left. Can someone tell me whether Signed Java Class can
be reconverted to Java program? I want to keep this program code to be my own,
only the signed class should be made public. Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated.

GyaTeX Roman Character Encoding System implements following coding system:
This should be a Standard encoding system for next generation Nepali Typing softwares. If followed correctly, no characters conflict with each other. No Options required. Blind Typing will be OK. If trained well, even blinds can write it and
they can listen to Nepali texts if we can further develop software to read and translate into voice. At least, I will be working towards this goal. The Java Applet will be made availabe for public use. Java uses SandBags and therefore, security is very tight, and I am looking for cheaper certificates (digital signatures). Any help will be greatly appreciated. Why not CAN/Nepal develop its own signing algorithm exclusively for
the use of Nepalis. I found Verisign's Signature Certification is too costly. I wonder whether any Nepali in Nepal can get those signature certified from Verisign in order to make their program be used anywhere.

WoW

Finally something useful.
What a commendable and applauseworthy job. Congrats GyaNex.
I have worked on Java (Servlets), but don't have experience on Unicodes and conversion of Signed Java class to Java Program. Hope you will get help.

Hi GyaNex,

It is probably not that easy to break in a Java Class. So why not bring it into the Nepali community.
GyaNeX Posted on 12-Mar-03 07:25 AM

Lastnight, I posted basic Characters in GyaTeX Roman Encoding system:

In the proposed encoding system, following characters should be followed to
make them complete:

"a","aa","i","ii","u","uu","e","ai","o","ou","an","a:"

Thus,

K + a = Ka
Kh + a = Kha
Chhy + aa = Chhyaa (longest Character: because Chhya is made of three characters : K + Shh + Ya )

So, Satte Pe Satta in conventional roman nepali should be

SaTTe Pe SaTTaa ==> let me cut and paste in that GyaTeX Applet:
सत्ते पे सत्ता

It seems fine. Its drawback is you have to press SHIFT key a lot of times, thats
to cumbersome to those professional typists, but, for those Blinds who can see
CHOICEs that are required if we blurr the upper and lower case characters, then,
its not going to work. The purpose of this software is to read Nepali from any
Library or CyberCafes where users are not allowed to install Nepali fonts or
install softwares like Madan Puraskar Pustakalaya's recent software .

(I proposed them to name their keyboard as MP2NeX : Madan Puraskar To (2) Nepali eXpress Typing, never heard: A Typical Nepali NGO: smell only money? Because that software was made from UNDP's money, wonder whether Version 2 will come without another Sponsor's sponsorship.)

I am designing this applet to challenge them that you don't need sponsorship to write small softwares. As time comes, I will also make the JavaScript based software (online typing serves exactly same purpose as MP2NeX, but, you don't need anything else
except Arial MS Unicode (?) or Mangal Unicode font, and JavaScript Enabled web browser. I had asked my friends here to use and they were excited to see its quality. It will use the Keyboard as shown in http://www.geocities.com/nepalikeyboard/ and I named it GyaNeX (those who work in developing new things, must not be surprised with naming, because every new product should be given names: its not dhag lagaune kaam its to identify your creative work). The javascript based online typing is already ready and tested verified and approved by a half dozen friends around here. I am only waiting for right time to announce it for public use. Free of Charge. I will now head to transfer Preeti or Kantipur font based news articles to Unicode Nepali, so that any person who wants to read Nepali news or article from CyberCafes or Public Libraries where installation of these specialized fonts are not allowed.

Just a matter of time. Probably, it will be announced on My next Birthday.

Just keep on tuning.

Regards.

Now, 12 Standard Nepali Vowels: that make BarhaKhari:

"A","Aa","I"," Ii","Ee","U", "Uu","E","Ai","O","Ou","Am","A:"

Use Encoding: GyaTeX. KeyBoard: NePeX. 68 Characters:

"अ","आ","इ"," ई","इ","उ", "ऊ","ए","ऐ","ओ","औ","अ","अ:"

(lower case will be used to annex in the 36 basic chars i.e.

K + a = Ka
K + aa = Kaa
K + i = Ki
K + ou = Kou

Encoding: GyaTeX. KeyBoard: NePeX. 47

क + a = क
क + aa = का
क + i = कि
क + ou = कौ

So that they don't conflict each other. e.g. MaILe and Maile MAILE lets see what happens if we are to use upper and lower case without care:

MaiLe मैले
MaIiLe मईले
MaILe मइले
Maile मैle
MAILE मअइलए
MAIILE मअइइलए

MaPaaIi ThiK LaGChha, TaPaaIiLaaIi? i have no problem

===>

मपाई ठिक लग्छ, तपाईलाई? i have no problem

(english can be easily embedded if its in lower case) and any english characters can be embedded if followed after # mark. words or sentences can be embedded using to mean start, and preeti or kantipur fonts can be embedded by using ...

Our of the next 4 remaining vowels:

(Lri Lrii Rri Rrii ) only Rri Rrii will be explained next time.

See you in April.

If you have Netscape Navigator with Java Virtual Machine installed as plug in:

Does not work with MS IE. Allow security check. Use Roman english and press COpy and Paste buttons. feel something new.
