What's your take in the following situation?
Should we take the responsibility(or burden?) of the preservance of the human rights of the Bhutanese refugees. Does Nepal and Nepalese treat these refugees as their own, and thus should grant the citizenship?
Bhutanese refugee leaders said on Friday that they would not be ready to be repatriated until they will be granted citizenship status right at the refugee camps.
“We should be granted Bhutanese citizenship status in the refugee camps prior to repatriation to ensure that the Bhutanese government will no longer victimise us after the repatriation and force us to become refugee second time,” R. B. Basnet, chairman of the Bhutanese National Democratic Party said.
