I read a beautiful love letter on this site a few days ago. Here's another one which begins by trashing the idea of a love letter but uniwittingly turns out to be one of the best love letters ever written. This was written by an American woman to a Nepali man.

Love letters...You're supposed to tell your feelings like a poet of emerson's time. The words melodious and each syllable demanding your attention. The writer agonizes for days, one hand pressed firmly on the forehead as though that would help him think. The other hand holding a pen hovers over the paper, waiting for words to dip onto the paper from his pen - he writes, rewrites and writes again. There is a pile of failed attempts at expressing his his love in the corner, the crinkled white sheets representing unjustified emotions. The words he finally puts down are supposed to be his emotions, a package of his emotions - concise, moving and complete. His love should radiate those words and move in on his lover like a soft mist that falls during a rain, turning to a deep fog that one is lost in. His heart and soul are given to his lover through that letter. It can bridge 20 years for them, or thousands of miles, bringing undying strength and conviction to their love.

I have yet to see a letter like this. And I can't assign words to the intangible things inside of me. I can't make my emotions into an eloquent poem with my feelings revealed between stanzas. My love letter is this book. My love letter is the way I look at you and the way I hold you. It is everyday I have spent with you and hope to spend with you. Every cup of coffee I have made for you is my love letter. Every gin I've even poured you counts. It's everytime I touch you and see you and smile at you and laugh. It will be every dream I have of you and everytime I think of you and every thought I have of you.
