"Life is 10 percent of what it is and 90 percent of what we make out of it."

Also, how many of you plan to go back to Nepal and reside there permanently?
I'm doing a survey.

Thank You

The question is not how many of you PLAN to come back to Nepal, the question is how many of you CAN come back? Are you able to and willing to give up all that America represents to you and come back to your home in the Third World? I think not.

How can anyone be sure about their future. That is why I have "plan" in my statement. If 22 million people can live in this third world country, why can't some 50,000 of us. After all most of us grew up in Nepal. Just like we got used to living in USA or (1st world countries) we will get used to living in Nepal. It's just a matter of time.

Can we apply for the REFUGEE status because of the turmoil in Nepal?? I am serious!
REFUGEE Posted on 08-Jun-01 02:09 PM

Good thought and idea. It's high time we did it. Let's find it out from the INS.

You lose all your culture, tradition, and what not by living in the USA. The only thing that you gain is "what"? Better life, cleaner streets, more facilities. Anything else? Public schools for your kids and oh ya food enough food to even feed your annoying relatives. Only if we worked this much harder in Nepal. Our kids won't have cousins and second cousins to play with, grandparents to bother and uncle and aunts to visit. Is this life. Life is simple in Nepal. The only problem with Nepal is that we don't have enough water which is the cause of all the problems regarding dirty streets and smelly population. Oh yes and you won't have to worrry that much about your wife eloping with bideshi and your husband's infidelty. We can't go back to time but we were all much happier in Nepal. Afterall, why do we work hard? For happiness right!

Life is Nepal is simple. People are making life complex by copying the complexity of the western world and creating new necessities that do not fit our well-being. If we adhere to the simplicity of life, we will find life in Nepal more satisfying that anywhere else in the world. Good roads, 24/7 running water/electricity, malls, fast cars are not the only means to live a better life. A better life is what we make out of the 90 percent of simplicity, as 'Nepali' said earlier.
