My list Best Actor: Daniel Day Lewis. If anybody watched Gangs of Newyork, you would know how phenomenal his acting was. He basically stole the show. Leo was unworthy of being nominated. Good one Oscar. Best Supporting Actor: Chris Cooper, Adaptation. Very vivid portrayal of the looney orchid hunter. Dude was also very good in American Beauty . Best Actress: Renee Zellweger, hands down, for the role of the protagonist in Chicago. Not just a good actor, but also a good dancer. I heard she was reluctant to play the role of Roxie Hard, as she didn't quite know how to dance. She did an awesome job. Best supporting actress: I'll say Catherine Zeta Jones, Chicago. Queen Latifah doesn't really have that much of a role anyways. Best Animated Feature Film: Ice Age, since this is the only animated movie I watched this year. Best Writing: Y tu mama tambien, a spanish flick. Although the movie is rife with nudity and sex scenes from the very beginning , the climax really blew me away. Best Director: Martin Scorcesi for Gangs of New York. Although this movie isn't really that great, Martin Scorcesi has been nominated 5 times before. ( Raging Bull is consider to be the best movie of the 80's by many. Loved it) If he doesn't win Oscar this time, it is highway robbery. Some other categories Best Picture: Chicago. Anybody have doubts??? Sound: Chicago Visual Effects: Lord of the Rings art direction: Chicago Documentary Feature: Bowling for Columbine Music: Chicago
