It would not be wrong to say that I grew up on Metal Cross. It was the first music Cassette I possessed and perhaps the only one I had till I completed my tenth grade. The guys from Metal Cross, who were from my own high school were kind of legends back there. The album can even be termed the soundtrack of my school life as well as many of my friends'... In an institution with a highly skewed male female ratio, "Khoji Khoji" was the perfect track to keep track of our never ending quest for love. "Pagal" was the ideal pitch to pitch out our frustrations or simple outcry that arises with academic pressure as well as teen angst. "Udi Jaane' was just the right melody to uplift us above our regular surroundings and take us soaring up where we wanted to go. I dont know where I lost my first Casssette. But, when I Came across Metal Cross's Frontman Nischal Shrestha's new album Pari Ban Ma, all the memories came rolling over, and with it, the urgent urge to catch up with Nischal Shrestha and know more about him and his music. And I did too. Here it is. Interview With Singer Nischal Shrestha @ ANU http://www.nepal-usa.net America Nepal Update.
