Anthony Shadid of the Washington Post is doing some remarkable work in Baghdad, writing about the impact of the war on civilians. The first link, in today's paper, is about a family whose home was destroyed in bombing and whose family members were "collateral damage." Their name is used, so presumably it's with the OK of Iraqi officials, who probably guided him to the family. The second link, from yesterday, is anonymous and is probably not with the OK of Iraqi officials. Both articles are balanced and disturbing. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A21501-2003Mar24.html http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A16197-2003Mar23.html
