Losing my religion Would you feel happy if I were to kill my spirits one by one and let you possess the remains we will perhaps never argue then Is this love? Poignant, my heart asks every time, it hears the hurt in your voice coming out of telephone, complaining I try to pacify, justify, nullify my existence and all the desires to fly; stifled in your arms where I used to find refuse, I suppress a cry need a little bit of blue sky On the verge of breakdown you ask for confirmation of love that was never denied; I am at a loss how you fail to see whats in every inch of me it is scary to feel your insecurity , insane to pour the last drop of vigor to abyss of negativity and just perish. I am willing to be completely possessed, but how could you possibly forget a basic rule survival; I need some air, your grips are too tight near my throat I am gonna choke Possessions and obsessions I am tired of manifestations of love ; feels like I am losing my faith on my love, my god, my religion.

Well then, If everybody would be worried about 'losing their religion' as you put it, the cycle of life would stop right here wouldnt it. I dont know anybody who hasnt 'lost their religion', at one point or other, so why write a freaking peom about it. Nice vision, though................ 'I lost my religion yesterday....................and i might have a baby............, what a curse.............. i am not pure anymore.................aaaaaaaaaaaaaaggggghhhh'. Jesus......... grow up, man. Shady

welll...mmm.. Thank you guys, for making me feel quite welcome:) , I would love to know 'the dead poet's society' and the rest... as far as 'knowing' is possible here. I was wondering how much importance you all give to anonimity/privacy? Are we all faceless names to each other or some names do materialize? Sorry for the clueless question...Seems like I got pretty much to familiarize with. starting right from pretty unprovoked attacks! Before it takes any weirder form (hehe.. that was a little too much) , my definition of religion: the thing i believe in ( a very personalized definition I agree ) Parting thought : Why NOT write a poem on any 'freakish' thing I feel like ? Ah well... talk to u all later, arty

ah, Can love be a religion? What about belief in something that is omniprsent, that can't be encompassed in a name? Like 'god', like 'love'..... that leave so much unexplained. Is that a religion? and you lose it when u don't feel it anymore and yet it's there. Losing it, RT

RT, Thanks. That was for the poem, the words were all too familiar for me, very very personal. I've been hearing it all too often, wouldn't be surprised if you turned out to be someone I knew. As for your question of if love can be a religion, I'd say yes!.Many people worship in many different ways,so you see it depends. Just because someone doesn't worship 'something that is omnipresent' the way you do doesn't necessarily mean that someone is questioning your religion. I have been accused like that many a times and if others faith, others religion makes you feel like you are losing yours then maybe you never really followed your religion that well. Loved your poem a lot though :) Just a curiosity, are you an aquarian? Sickman!

i am glad you identify with it sickman ( hmmm peculiar name :D). Thank you for the niceties. It is often nice to have someone else personally connect to what you write.... But hope it's not too painful....Losing my religion? Yeap .... not because someone questioned though! I agree with you, what you blv doesn't shake because others don't.. Oh I am a Libran not an aquarian and so pretty mercurial, though Venus rules me. What about you? Ciao, RT

Isn't religion what you practise or believe in? And when you lose your momentum or stray from your groove... you either falter or lose it...hoina? Just my interpretation of "Religion".

exactly :) , ! it's just something you believe in , and it gets lost when the belief is no more. Sitara (nice name!!) , what is ur sun sign? BTW, are you the one that twinkles ( star) or the one that that tinkles (musical instrument)? Sitara has two meanings, right? RT

It's so obvious that sickman is another alias of arty. Anyway, I guess you're talking on the individual level. I think it's not the individual's belief that counts, but rather the community's. If you aren't a believer no more, it doesn't mean your neighbor is a non-believer too, unless of course if it is one of those group conversion thingies. So no, religion isn't what you practice or believe in, but what the community practices or believes in.

El Paso Ji I don't believe in Organized religion. Now, that is My personal religion. Without individuals there can't be a community but there Can be individuals without organized communities. You can also live in a society without adhering to societal tabboos. You can believe in a Universal energy without being a Hindu, a Christian or any other Religion. But, when I express a personal philosophy, that becomes my individual religion....what I practise. Arty ji Thank you! I adopted the name Sitara because I used to play the Sitar. My sunsign? I am a mermaid! hehe!
