Hello Sajha frens, we have recently filed for our i 140 and i 485. Perm was not required in our case. We have filed our i 140 in regular and filed i 485 simultaneously along with i 140. It it true that we can get our EAD before i 140 or i 485 has to be approved. When i checked in trackit, i see several people getting their EAD within 85-90 days from the day of application of i 140 and i 485 even if their i 140 or i 485 hasnt been approved ( ie they have filed their i 140 in regular processing) If this is false, can anyone suggest when we can get our EAD at the earliest ? thanks,

Yes, if u have included EAD application along with i485, u will get EAD typically within 2-3 months while ur i140/i485 are being processed.

I suggest u to submit i 765 and I 131 along with i 485 because they are free to apply, and you will receive Ead with advance parole in one card that USCIS call it combo ead card and you can also travel with combo card if u want without any problem...

thanks Punter, for your response. I didnt know what all documents i had signed with my lawyer was just too excited about filing for our GC. I had a chat with my lawyer and she told me that they had applied for EAD and AP along with the I 140 and i 485. Was much reliefed to know that it was filed along with those forms. Eagerly waiting for the AP and EAD card now.
