Has anybody on here been to Rara? I'm planning on taking a trip in September but I'm struggling to come up w/ an itinerary. Since I've never been too far outside Kathmandu, I wish to take a bus to Nepalgunj w/ an intent of seeing 'more' of Nepal, and catch a flight to Jumla; spend a day in/around Jumla, and then trek to Rara instead of flying to Mugu directly. From what I hear, Rara's like 2 hr hike from Mugu airport which isn't really that exciting. Does anybody have a better suggestion or care to share his/her experience? Thank you.
