Milcha sathi, Ma grad school huda file gareko theye (F1 status huda). you should file only i140 first. If it get approve then only file 485. Do not file them together, if you dont have confident on your case. Because, after you file 485, that will be considered intent to migrate. BTW, how many paper and independent citation do you have? Thank you so much nepal1234. so far I have 10 papers, 6 book chapters and numerous abstracts presented in national conferences/workshops. In most of them I am the first author. I have accumulated approx. 85 Independent citations.

iphone6: I agree with nepal1234. Go with Chen. Your case is strong to be approved. I have recently done that while in F1-OPT. Make sure that you do not want/need any new application/renewal for non-immigration status in the future.

iphone6: If you want to extend OPT or apply for F1 or J1 which are non immigration status, then, do that first and apply for NIW later. You 'may' have problems if you want to do that after filing 140. Once you file i-485, you cannot ever apply for these visa status. You can always apply for H-1 even after filing i-485 or after i-140 denial as it is dual intent.
