Pi network is a scam!!!! A crypto currency scam. There are a couple of red flags: - They claim they can let you coin mine on your phone, which is absurd. Phones don't nearly have enough computing power for that. - The product is launched in beta phase - The main activity is constructing a pyramid of members - They do not give any info about the people behind the scheme. Their site is totally anonymous. - a WHOIS check of their site, minepi.com, also gives only anonymous results. - They claim their goal is to do charity: to let ordinary people participate in crypto currency.

I have checked their team and with Standford website ---- they have profile: eg; https://hci.stanford.edu/nicol... https://minepi.com/team So i don't outright say Pi is scam. However, almost 90% crypto are without main product or any utility value .... so we can call scam or pyramid scheme. The only thing you will lose is give your phone number which they may sell the data. On better side, you might be making some free coin if this project take off. On technical side, of course phone or even normal laptop without GPU is worthless in computational power of hash rate ...... but they claim Stellar consensus protocol ..... might need to dig deeper to learn it if it's anything real. Rule 1: Always start with doubt; if found valid, support it. That's all.
