This bill is to pass the senate floor next week. Who are effected by this bill? Are people whose I140 already approved also get effected? Do we really have to wait 10 yrs now? everyone will be affected including those whos I140 already approved, with this nepal including every other nation will have lag behind 8-9 years. this is to adjust for those indian, chinese, brazilians, east european whose I140 been approved past 9 years n still waiting, so the new adjustment will be those whos I140 already approved past 8 years and waiting will get GC within a year and those whose I140 has just been approved ( with in a year ) will behind at least 8 years. for all, ewual rule applies so have to wait at least 9 years. dv n marrying us citizen are only option left. congratulations, those who already have gc bad luck for rest. senete will most likely pass next wk.

So by the way there is something called Current Approved Beneficiaries in line – Transition Rule. Which states if you are already waiting in line for Green Card with approved I-140, you would either have same or shorter wait time, after this bill is passed. the transition rule is not a bill, when the bill is passed the rule will have to adjust according to senate passed bill, with approved i-140, green card will be issued on pro-rata basis,which means equality for all, the one who is waiting for 8 years will get priority over one who is waiting for 8 months, we cannot assume 4 what years do we have to wait as they said earlier the selection going to be based upon a complex algorithms. but we can easily guess the wait for new applicant will be 6-8 years. i don't have a readable articles as ur are asking but this been n long run debate n most of us already know what would the outcome be. dhotis in my office been talking this shit all time, they are exceptionally happy. this is all political game to attract high volume migrant voters n bargaining power of big nations

what is ur status? if u have anyone in family who is still not i 140 approved consider niw eb1 or o1, the usual route seem to be taking forever. btw there is a face book group with approved I-140 guys all of them have similar concern as u n thy might be best of your resources n responses
