The guards working there been below nasty. they earn aggregate lump sum of more than USD 2k a month so consider better human than an any ordinary Nepali . its better not to confront them, after all they are guards yes just security guards . employees been super helpful ( most if not all ) and respond email for specific quarry. they are uplifting general visa interviews restriction by mid November on 3 phase basis but only for fully vaccinated individuals. i have been confirmed by someone who works there. hope this helps . Thank you Haku for leaking insider information. I had been writing thrice to US embassy Nepal since a couple of months ago. Still didn't got responded. I really hope they uplift visa this visa restriction soon. I recently got advised to write this issue to Bernie Sanders by one of his folks working on his office. the low profile Nepalese working there consider themselves beyond and above otherwise embassy is super helpful. if you need any urgent visa assistance consider calling them rather shooting email, they been even scheduling b1,2, f1,2 visa for needing ones . for other general visa quarries, follow visa chat in embassy FB page, they hold it mostly on Wednesdays or some other random days

Needing one? I doubt that though here is the information (Source: https://np.usembassy.gov/infor... that they are not open for B1/B2 visa interview. It has been difficult for me to call them because of different time zone. Last time I contacted the state department (washington number) they told me they were clueless about Nepal. As travelling to nearest country like India and China is only possible option as per them. Milne bhayee batai phone naak ko dadi bhanccine gara hanthey hola. the term "needing one" is defined and justified by their own definition, as always . knew a few people ( phd scholar on f1, old couple in b1 and one research scholar j1 been granted while their website says the are not taking any regular visa interviews . as a security protocol they don't take calls from private number ( card phone, internet calling cards etc) best is 2 ask someone from Kathmandu call them and try your luck, but anyways they will be open in full phase soon so dsnt make much sense now.
