If countries like Bhutan can function without US Embassy...why would a country like Nepal need US embassy even knowing all the anti-national actions done by them? One side of argument in removing US Embassy from Nepal is due to its political involvement for the last 40 years. Also, just to mention...not questioning anyone's critical thinking. I know everyone is smart enough...so, just presenting 'facts' for people to think for themselves. Just one example was assasination of King Birendra's family over things like weapon deals, military use and his closeness to China (Birenda had visited China twice in 2001..no one wanted another North Korea in the region). We can read the Wikileaks' papers dating way back to even 1985 where the US govt discussed Birendra's removal/succession...in 1985. They even pointed out what outcome will happen if Birendra (who was 38 that time) died 'suddenly'. The US intellegince portal still has article from May 23rd 2001 when a US Army General goes to capital hill to 'brief' a closed session about some military men's travel to Nepal without disclosing the purpose. The article is still live on google and was posted as part of disclosed information sharing. This was just 8 days before the massacre.  This matches to the following points- 1. blackhawk helicopter noise heard in 2001. The blackhawk helicopters were only brought to Nepal in 2007 but people suggested hearing similar helicopter noise in 2001. 2. group of Americans who came to US to 'build a hospital in Patan' suddenly disappeared after June 2001 massacre- hotel staff reported this 3. Indian defense minister then (George Fernandez) also wasn't a big fan of Nepal's royal family and his close proximity with China..especially Birendra's multiple visits to China in 2001 and China's defense minister's visit just 2 months before the assasination 4. Nepal imported weapons from 3 countries- Israel (Galil), US and India but Birendra wanted to bring weapons from China too. Do you think people would be happy with that? 5. HIs reluctance to use military to solve Maoists...many knew that using military is like cutting a blank check to weapon manufacturers (even if Nepal doesn't have to pay..the weapon manufacturer still get the money) 6. BBC and other media jumping into conclusion even before official govt report 7. Final point- US govt has only given one requirement to CIA 'you can do anything as long as US govt's name doesn't get involved'. Just think for yourself on what's a 'plausible connection'. So, with things like these is it even beneficial to 'Nepal' to have US Embassy?
