I have not got time to look for job so far despite of being classes too tough. I am in real confusion should I apply for opt or not due to the fact of finding job within 3 months I dont see it happening-- On OPT you can do unpaid volunteering work in the field of your studies to maintain your OPT. So, If I plan to go back to school for next semester like join community college what will be my status during summer period?-- If you apply for OPT and request your OPT start date to be 2 months from the day you graduate, you will have a total of 5 months (2months grace period+90 days unemployment period) to get a new I-20; If you don't get OPT, you have 60 days to get new I-20 from the date you graduate. I am pretty sure I am right about this but if I am incorrect please correct me, guys. Can I repeat one course for next semester which I had got low grade and maintain my  status and apply opt next semester i.e fall so that I can have enough time to look for job as well-- It depends on your adviser. Legally, there is no problem in doing so but your adviser has to allow you to do so. Also, you will need to get permission to take a reduced course load next semester.
