hello people...i just wanted to see if anyone could answer my question that has been troubling me for last few days.my application was received at USCIS for OPT on may 31st, 2011. I am on a F1 staus here and i just graduated from a 4 year university. They say it takes 3 months for OPT to arrive, but i had a case of MISDEAMEANOR (possesion of mariuana) somewhere in Durant,OK couple years ago for which i stayed on probation for a year. So, my question here is that will it affect in my processing of OPT, since they do a background check??? any answers or comments will be highly appreciated. thankyou
