Dear friends, My mom's US visa in her nepali passport got stolen last month, she is planning her trip next month. Will she need to go through the same process ( bank statemen/interview etc) again to procure a replacement of her visa? Your expertise and any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Y

She will have to file a police report. Get the report and make a new passport. She then will need to cantact Conlulate in Nepal and submit Police report along with a written statement how the thing happenned. You might also contact the embassy ahead and let them know your moms PP was stolen. http://travel.state.gov/visa/t...
