It is really irritating and pisses the hell out of me when I talk about moving back to Nepal and work on my career there. Most of the time I get responses like ‘there is not even basic necessity like lights, water, security, health blah blah. They laugh at the idea specially since I have a good job here and why risk it all and leave to somewhere where nothing is guaranteed? Have we all decided to ditch on our country that we have lost all hope???? If you all don’t decide to go back it is FINE because that’s you!! But atleast have some respect and encouragement for the ones who actually want to give back and use their knowledge for the good of their own motherland.   As for me, I am currently working on my Health Informatics Degree Executive masters degree from a well respected university  and as I finish my degree, my dream is to implement that field in Nepal. no I am not crazy!!.. if nobody is willing to go back, don’t you all think there will be more opportunity for respectable degree holders like us?? Or am I crazy because I understand health informatics is not pre-existing in Nepal and it will be VERY VERY hard to take the initiative to start. Where do I apply, where do I work, how do I get started? I am very very confused. As nepali ukhan goes, ‘yaha ko syaal bhanda, I would rather be a ser of Nepal’ or something like that :D.   So, I want to know if anybody else here also have a dream as I do. I understand money wont be as good as I make here but with this degree, salary should be very good even in Nepal. Are there any other Nepalese with similar degree with similar dream as I have, need some suggestions from you guys.
